Just picked up the Dobyns Champion 805CB (not the glass version) for deep cranking. 

 

Thoughts on the Daiwa Tatula 200 to pair with this rod?

    Don't have any Dobyns rods, but I do have 2 tatula 200 reels, and can say I'm really happy with them. Thrown baits from 1/2oz to 3 oz swimbaits, although the 3 oz baits work a wee bit better with a 300 size reel, which I also have in a tatula 300.

    Re: the T wing, if you tend to use a leader, some folks report that the knot does get hung in the T wing, so that's something to consider.
