  1. I know this website is for bass fishing, but does anyone inshore fish for redfish/sea trout/strippers? I am looking for a bait casting casting rod and reel that will add up to somewhere in the 400 dollar range. I appreciate the help.
  2. Hello, I just got the Daiwa Zillion SV TW 2021 and was wondering what I should spool it with. I have been doing braid with a floro leader for a while now and like it a lot, but don’t know if I would switch to all floro. I am putting the reel on a Shimano Expride MedHvy Fast 7’2”. I mostly fish for smallmouth in shallow rocky rivers (Shenandoah). What would the best option for me be and what pound line should I use?
  3. I just bought my first soft plastic fishing mold: 4" SLICK SWIM PADDLE TAIL SWIMBAIT (WITH HOOK SLOTS). I have never made my own soft plastics, so I had a couple questions before I start buying stuff. 1. What is the best plastisol for swim baits specifically 4 inch? 2. What is the best brand and size of glitter and what colors are the best for shad colors and green pumpkin? 3. What colors should I buy and what is the best brand? Thank you for your time.
  4. its a lot of fun. you can catch all 3 main species. i usually use a popper or a woolly bugger or streamers. Those always get the trick done
  5. What one do you like more? I have never used a rod under 7 feet. From what I have seen, you can really do it all with this rod. Should I buy one?
  6. This is exactly why you where a wading belt. I’m 14 and nearly drowned over the summer in the Provo. Scariest experience I have ever had.
  7. Not at all. I am 14 and an avid fisherman from the east coast and I have just started to get into the real serious (650$) bait casting setups. My arsenal has just started.
  8. I am looking at buying a Shimano Expride A Casting Rod Medium Heavy Fast Action 7‘2“. Anyone know anything about the rod or have any opinions?
  9. Shimano Zodias MHF 7.2 casting with Daiwa Zillion sv tw
  10. White flukes, white and smoke swim baits and natural tubes
  11. I am fishing the Shenandoah River for smallmouth bass. It is a VERY rocky river and has lots of rapids. I am mainly curious with what size the rod should be. The river has a strong current in some places, but other spots are flat with little current. I almost always wade into the water when I fish considering that the water isn’t very deep. I rarely use a boat. There are three different rod sizes I’m looking at: 7.8, 7.4, and 7.2 . I am going to get the M1 casting rod by Phoenix. They are ale Medium Heavy Fast action rods which I I think will be best for flukes, tubes, and soft plastic swim baits, but what size rod best fits my needs?
  12. Yeah. It’s amazing. Shenandoah river is amazing all times of the year. Never go home empty.
  13. I wanna get into some more chatter bait fishing. I was recommended the Z-man Custom Chatterbait which comes in a 4 ought hook. I was also recommended to use the Keitech Swing Impact FAT Swimbait. What size should I use? The color comes in 3.3, 3.8, 4.3, 4.8, and 5.3 inches. It comes in more sizes, but these are the main ones. What one/ones would you get or recommend? Any other trailers that work well for imitating shad? Thank you Greyson
  14. Grubs make more commotion in the water, but bet the swim sit looks more realistic. I personally would go for a swim sit. I have had a lot more success with them than grubs.
