  1. Brent Ehrler‘s 7’0 M-MH Tatula Elite AGS rod with a Tatula SV TW103 spooled with Gama 12lb fluoro. Any time I’m on a foot mission this is the one combo I bring. (Actually haven’t been on any fishing trip without it since I got it) I have used it to bomb a 3/16oz dropshot with 4 1/2” Robo worm, skip a weightless senko under docks, 1/4-1/2oz T-Rigs/Jigs and 5/8oz lipless in the same day. The rod is very versatile and the reel is so forgiving with a quick adjustment. This post has me questioning why I even own multiple combos now.. jk I need more ?
  2. Hey BassResource! Been lurking for quite some time and thought I might as well join this very informative community. I’m located in central CA and have been fishing for as long as I can remember. From coast fishing with my dad for rock bass, to creeks for native trout, to a private ranch pond that my uncle managed when I was 5-12 years old catching huge largemouth that I would give my 2 front teeth for to catch again with picture proof. I’ve had a long hiatus from fishing after high school but the last 3 years the largemouth have got me fully addicted. I’m shy and likely won’t post often but looking forward to learning more and chime in anytime I can actually help.

  4. I own 3 rods in the AGS line and the Ehrler 7’1” is a great rod. I primarily use it as a dropshot rod but I have thrown various sized neds, shaky heads, even a 1/2 oz blade bait and it handled it pretty well considering it’s the top of its limits. Another AGS spinning rod you could look at is Feider’s 7’6” ML-M. The extra length should help get you get a little more distance from the shore too. I don’t have hands on experience with the others mentioned (though I wish I did lol) but I’m sure with the rods listed you can’t go wrong!
