Actually wound up going with the Ultegra lol. Same price as the Exsence but reviews and general feedback seem much better.

It's not used it's new. And might go the stradic route. I'm not sure yet. I just want to clarify the differences between the Exsence I'm looking at versus the $600 one

I found this reel on ebay and Amazon for around $100. When looking on other sites though the modern Excense is around $600. I can't imagine an older model of the Exsence being $500 cheaper which leads me to believe these are 2 different reels. Can someone school me because this seems like a crazy deal at first glance.

So I'm in a 12 foot kayak. I suppose the only time I'd have it on full speed is when going place to place.

I went out and bought 8 gauge THHN because that is what came in an install kit I found. However I believe that 8 gauge can only handle 40 amps correct? If what I found is right the xi3 has a max draw of 52 amps. Should I go back and get 6 gauge? Any advice appreciated. Thank you!

Figured it out

Just got one of a guy and I noticed the tip had been replaced. It’s on their good but kind of looks rough. What’s the actual size Fuji SIC guide these use? I tried to contact Shimano but they said at the time they didn’t have the information I needed.

What happens in a warm front?

I know this sounds like a stupid question but I've never understood what they are. I hear anglers talk about it a lot when fishing and how it affects fish, but I have no clue what "Post frontal condition" or "Pre frontal conditons" or whatever other frontal conditions even are. Can someone please explain to me like I'm 5 so I can understand it and use it to help my fishing adventures.

Thought about that too with the B model being more sensitive. I don’t know how much more it really is. The A model has way more reviews and user experience to pull from to help inform me while the B while has good reviews I keep seeing people saying they fish 1 power heavier than rated and I didn’t want a pool cue for a MH. Also saving $80-$90 was kinda nice

I wouldn’t care to do the 7’6 but I fish from a Kayak and can’t take too many rods. I typically prefer close to 7’ just to allow more broad usage.

On Shimano’s site the A model was listed as a 7’2 MH mod fast. The new B models are labeled fast. I was asking specifically about the A models since they’re on sale.
