Ok right on. I didnt want to buy a size 5 set of hooks specifically for these popper. I'd rather just get size 4 and it be more universal.

I use the Berkley Bullet Pop 70mm and they come stock with size 5 hooks including the feathered treble. When I replace them would it weigh it down too much replacing them both with size 4 one of which being the feathered treble?

I'm buying a Curado DC and I'm not entirely sure what gear ratio to get. It will be mainly used for squarebills, lipless, and chatterbaits. At times I like to slow roll these baits and at other times I like to burn them. My choices are the 7.4:1 or the 6.2:1. The IPT are 31" and 26" respectively. Would you say it would be easier to slow down on a 7.4:1 when I want to slow roll or speed up when I want to burn on a 6.2:1?

Ya I actually like the split grip more than full myself. I went with the fury after handling them in a store. The Champion at $200 was all the budget i had and then i wouldn't have been able to get the lures i was wanting to throw on it so I went with the fury. I've got 60 days for the return policy so worst case I'll try it out and if I dont like it I'll take it back.

I'm wanting to throw the lv500. I know this rod says it will do that but how do you feel about it? It's a 3/4oz lure would it be a bit much?

Assuming you could get the Dobyns Champ 705 CB for $200 would you get that or save some money and get the Fury 705 CB instead and grab some lures to throw on it as well? How do the 2 rods compare to each other? Or go a different brand all together and get the 7' MH MF Mojo Bass for cranking?
