  1. Local rod builder or tackle shop
  2. Fish when you can, but I much prefer afternoons into the evening. One particular body of water the bite is nonexistent during the morning but seems to turn on in the afternoon.
  3. I would get a medium power fast action spinning rod. That rod can do a lot. If I was fishing around a lot of grass I’d bump it up to a MH
  4. Throw them the same places you’d throw a heavier one. Sometimes a lighter weight will make all the difference
  5. I’ve owned two lews reels and wouldn’t buy them again. I have a tournament MB which is ok. It doesn’t cast light baits very well and the handle is too small in my opinion. I had an LFS speed spool that didn’t last one year. I’ll stick with shimano
  6. Great fish.
  7. I keep it simple. Black/blue and green pumpkin or brown
  8. I’ll stick to an Alberto knot. It’s easier to tie in my opinion and has never failed me
  9. No. Any knot tied properly should not slip at all
  10. I use the same lures as any other day or night
  11. They put grass carp here in a few of our lakes and ponds to try and control the weed growth and it did absolutely nothing.
  12. I use original power pro. I’ve tried the “smooth” 8 carrier braids and didn’t like them at all
