Should I be looking at BFS?
The zodias is rated for 3/16 to 1/2 with the 7lb braid I can cast less than a gram consistently and cast 3-5 grams a very long ways.I like the 7lb braid it's good haven't had any issues and have caught some ok fish with it.

Should I be looking at BFS?
It basically comes down to if you really want to use a baitcaster with light weight lures and line. I have one setup I use for it and enjoy it a lot but as with everything in life it can come down to how much money you want to spend. My setup is fairly cheap but it works and I am happy with it curado bfs and zodias ml with 7lb braid, I need a different rod to go lighter but without ordering online it makes it very hard to acquire rod's.

If you could have only one NRX Loomis rod…
The only nrx that's locally located is a 916 I think, but if I had a choice it would be a 904c. I have a glx 894 and love it also a conquest 844c mbr that I love and I am hoping to have my 843c mbr conquest back before the opener next year. Out on warranty ?it's been 5 long months so far, my local store sent it in for me so I have no clue.

No Shad lakes
I try to mimic the different colors of there forage, people act like I am crazy when I tell them that orange and green, blue helps me mimic gills or sunfish. It works for me so I keep doing it lol.

Well after procrastinating for most of the season I finally bought one, it was hard to choose one really. With all of the reviews of digital scales being all over the place it makes you leary to spend money on something that might not work right when you need it lol. Now I probably won't catch a fish worth weighing the rest of the year, I still have time to hit my goal but it won't be easy. My goal is a 6lb largemouth not impossible but harder to do here in Michigan.

Topwater Frogs
You can if you want to but I just use the straight black one, believe me my frog selection is not huge but ok in size and it has multiple colors. I have caught fish on those three colors mostly, just keep it simple if it works use it. The tackle monkey likes multiple colors but you don't really need to have them all, lures aren't Pokémon you don't need to have them all lol.

Topwater Frogs
White, bone, black, natural and I myself really like the spro Jr size frogs. Those colors cover about everything you will need. The black works good at night also, I have caught a few on it.

Buzzbait Advice
About to run out the door to head to work but here's my quick opinion. No trailer or if you want to use one a paddle tail works great, might want trailer hook depends on how there hitting it that day. Braid is fine no leader, weight 3/8-1/2 Oz is what I normally use. Go with the mh/f rod and a black and white is all you need. Sorry for the short response but hope I helped.

No pictures tonight lol, new phone and didn't know how to turn the flash on the camera on. Smartphone dumb owner, going from a iPhone to Android is polarizing. Got out late it was about dark when I got there planned on throwing the new spro jr frog in black. Walks extremely easy out of the box, tried the normal spots heading towards where I know they are for sure. Nothing at the first three spots now it's dark, that's not a problem helps me not overthink my cadence. Get to the good spot first cast I get a decent blow up completely blow the hookset and that's a understatement lol. Couple more blow ups no takers a few more mistakes and then I caught one probably between 14-16 inches. I was happy my first frog fish at night that's a blast just waiting to here that splash. I love night fishing it helps you develop your reflexes and concentration.

Well I finally got the other color of creature hogs, watermelon green pumpkin. Also I got some evergreen swim jigs two 3/8 and one 1/2 I wish they were all 3/8 but they didn't have any in the color. Then we have two packs of punch bugs and some flipping hooks a pack of keitechs and last but not least a pack of max scent meaty chunk trailer in pumpkin seed. Saved my wife the hassle of trying to pick lures out for my birthday on Monday. I tried to show her what I like yesterday, she didn't act interested so I helped her out lol.

Not much for me this week unfortunately ? rent week yay there went two checks. At least I got a dollar a hour raise, I don’t know if that’s better for me or the monkey lol. I am always trying to check out some of the max scent craze, although as popular as it is it makes it hard to find new colors to try so if I see a new color and can afford it I grab it. Unfortunately this week there was two new colors and I only had enough to get one pack and some new line for my bfs reel.

My best guess is probably 3.5-4.5 range maybe larger, although my rule of thumb is to always make the fish lower weight when you have to guess you know. I rather underestimate than overestimate on size rather be pleasantly surprised than disappointed lol.

Today was a grind. Got out at 2:30 pm wind was strong most of the day started with a spoon caught two small ones. Switched to soft plastics caught three to four more small ones. Then I decided to throw a walking bait had to grind for a while then caught this one 20 inches long 14 inches around. No weight unfortunately I still don’t have a scale don’t really catch them big enough to worry about weighing them most of the time lol. Caught it on a chrome sexy shad sexy dawg definitely a decent fish for Michigan I would say, they do definitely get bigger but finding them can be hard. I then caught some on a popper also. I enjoy getting out and catching the bigger ones, it’s been a dink fest lately. My goal for the year is to catch a 6lb bass we will see.

Not a lot special from me today a couple of small fish. The special part is that these are my first spoon fish that I can recall lol. I tried plastics first and got nothing out came the spoon. I have been wanting to try one again, been talking to a co worker and he was talking about spoons. That gave me a idea or should I say the bait monkey lol. The spoon was a 2/5oz daredevil clicker in copper I swapped the stock hook out to a berkley fusion feathered treble in size 4 white chartreuse. I tried to use a slow retrieve not that easy on a 8.1 ratio reel but I got it down, no hits. Then I tried jigging it still nothing, next was to twitch it like a jerk bait bingo ! First one came on the 5th twitch I varied it up nothing for a while. I was getting ready to leave and decided to burn it, I knew it would spin and not have the right action but figured why not. A fish swirled on it but missed the copper finish with the clicker blades out to the side caused a decent flash. Threw back to the bank with the sun on it where the fish missed it and twitched it once again boom fish. The last one was around 14 inches or so measured my arm and rod when I got home lol. I enjoyed learning a new technique now to work on perfecting it, that could take a while. I was surprised it worked in water that dirty maybe six inches visibility if you’re lucky.

Nothing special from me today I caught 3 in three hours, I started out at one place with nothing happening there pretty busy only got to hit one of my normal spots. Headed to a pond that has been good to me most of the year, it has changed a lot. Very very slow, signs of other people fishing it I am wondering if they kept fish when they caught them or if they escaped back into the river when it flooded quite badly earlier this year. The fish were exactly where they should have been near the shade lines next to the heaviest cover. Started with a weightless d bomb in el Diablo color no hits, I thought I grabbed my South African creature hogs but nope green pumpkin instead. Either way saved me from a skunk lol biggest one of the day 15 inches or so not huge but a ok little fish. First one came from the branches in the water, last two near a lay down and shade line on the point. It was a good day, caught some fish at least. It has been hot here lately so a little slower than normal.
