  1. Recently started fishing the CA delta and my old faithful booyah pad crashers just cant cut it for the super thick mats out there. What are your go to frogs for thick vegetation?
  2. A couple days ago I got another package from TW that had a single bag of Zoom Z Craws that I forgot I had even purchased. So yes, sometimes orders do get split.
  3. Ive had this curado k for 3 years now and from when I first fished it the line lay always cheats to the left side of the spool no matter what I do. I have backed all the line off and respooled it multiple times. I have no problems with line lay on any other reels I own. I am sure it is the reel and not my shoddy spooling technique. Is there a way to shim a baitcaster like you can on spinning reels? Or could this be a worm gear problem? Have any of you had reels that do this?
  4. So my curado k is having an issue where it is making a bit more noise on the retrieve than usual, but at the same time is just as smooth as it normally is. Could this be a dry bearing within the reel?
  5. I was thinking about throwing one but i need a color other than shad. Little Big Swimbaits? Lol
  6. I guess at this pond the bass play by their own rules lol
  7. No these fish are absolutely pumped full of food. Nearly every fish has a full stomach. So far I have caught more 2+ pound fish at this pond than dinks. Its really a gem of a spot.
  8. Would 50lb PP to 20Lb Flouro leader be ok for throwing a 168 size S Waver?
  9. I actually found a nearly brand new one at the lake awhile back. Ill give it a try
  10. I recently found a pond right by my house with some really large fish and I want to specifically target those bigger bass when I go out there. They are usually very agressive due to limited fishing pressure. What would some good larger baits be in the 1.5oz - 2oz range. I have never thrown a swimbait other than your average sized paddletails so give me some reccomendations please! Main forage is bluegill and likely small baby bass
  11. Is there any negative aspect of casting something like a 3/4 oz jig on a reel with an mgl spool? Looking at buying a scorpion mgl and im curious
  12. Are we talking the older zodias models or the new 2020s?
  13. Dobyns Sierra 703C- at least for topwaters up to 1/2 oz.
  14. Do any of you folks have the 2020 zodias in the 7'5" Heavy model? Im thinking about picking it up for Flipping/Punching heavy cover as well as for bigger jigs and maybe some frog fishing too. I know thats alot to ask from 1 rod but if you guys have any knowledge of this rod in particular id greatly appreciate any details you can give me. Thanks!
  15. Do any of you use or know of any rods that would be viable for both flipping/punching and frogging? I havent needed one yet because I dont fish the heavy stuff much but im looking to fish the CA delta and want something that'll let me get into the thick stuff. The heaviest stick I currently own is a 734 Dobyns Sierra if that helps. Budget would be around 200$
  16. Looking at buying a Dobyns Sierra 733C mostly for lighter moving baits, Jerkbaits, lipless/squarebill cranks, and topwaters. Im 5'11" and im curious if there are any of you who are my height that use a rod longer than 7' for topwaters. I fish the bank alot too if that helps. I just dont want the tip slapping the water all the time but I feel like 3 more inches of rod would help with working walking baits better.
  17. Thinking of upgrading my old fury 703c to a sierra 703c mostly for throwing moving baits and topwaters and as an all around rod in general. Does anyone know if they have similiar actions to eachother?
