  1. You're looking for the hardwear alone?
  2. Thanks, just so I'm 100% clear @slonezp and @Tennessee Boy I need to fish this ethernet cable which comes with the motor (right) all the way from my motor in the bow to my console fish finder, correct?
  3. Is there an extra cable that runs from the motor to fishfinder with ipilot link - thats not needed with just ipilot motors? What is this cable, so hard to find this info minn kota website is confusing. Thanks
  4. This is a ST Croix avid inshore spinning rod in MH, just got it brand new in the mail from St Croix. The first guide looks all wrong, this bend cannot be intentional right? The second guide has the metal piece from above hugging the rod until and sharp bend near the guide, unlike the bottommost one. I'm thinking I should email them and ask for a replacement, right?
  5. I have read on a few other places about the IRTs, a majority seemed to believe that they are not as well sealed as other high end SW reels ie van staal/stella.
  6. Is a walk the dog style, guy said it's often used by saltwater guys but he likes it for bass too. Any ideas who makes it/what it's called?
  7. I'm also having issues with my torpedo spinning around, like rotating itself like the log in log rolling. Should I add a swivel or tie direct or use heavier line?
  8. I noticed my poppers, torpedo, and spook dont have a split ring. Should I add one if tying directly or are slit rings more for baits that move side to side which these dont as much? Was also thinking of adding one so I can use a swivel snap and change easily or is swivel snap plus split ring bad for some reason?
  9. I've got an inshore fishing boat I use in FW for bass and the occasional striper in SW, I was thinking of adding some low grab rails but that would mean I would need rod holders that would attach to the rail rather than using the built in ones, any good ones out there? Any other thoughts on why I should or should not add the low grab rails? I am inclined for safety but maybe someone can actually tell me why I shouldnt and if there are good rod holders that attach to rails.
  10. I've been told a split ring or snap is important for baits that move side to side. Is it a bad idea to have both a split ring and a swivel snap? Snaps make things easy, and I only have swivel snaps. Separate question, what baits dont you want a split ring or snap for and wanna tie direction to bait?
  11. Looking at braid + fluorocarbon leader (3 feet) or strait mono, is there much difference in the fish seeing the line? Everyone talks about fluoro being the best for this but how do the less visible monos stack up? Am I gonna catch fewer fish with mono for this reason? Which mono is the best?
  12. Thanks, anyone else on lesser known silent topwater? Thanks again
  13. Thanks all, one more questions for you guys, favorite silent topwater (no rattle noise)? I'm sure a portion of the baits mentioned are silent but I don't know that many so if you could point em out ?
  14. What I meant was let out some line, then trail it for a few min behind the boat. Nothing but line, just confirming thats what you meant.
  15. So there's no lure or weight or anything on the end of line right? Just the line, let out a bunch, trail behind boat for 5 min at 5mph? That's a total guess what would you change in that? Thank you
  16. Of all the top end FC lines out there, which develop coils/twists on a spinning rod more slowly? I've spooled up spinning rods with FC and it's hard coils in a week or so, while other FCs were better, thing is I never was good at keeping track of which was which! So basically looking for a FC I can leave on my spinning rod and will get less memory coils. Tatsu? Invizx? Sniper? Something else?
  17. I've got a whopper plopper, pop-r, superspook, and a few other commonly used topwater baits. I was on TW just browsing and was stunned by the number of different types of topwater baits on there, some of which were insanely $$$. I'd like to splurge a little and try one or two new topwater baits, can be pricey but could also be lesser known cheap, any suggestions on killer topwater forgetting price? Something most of us have not heard of!
  18. I'd like to store my rods on the underside of a T top. I was thinking of adding some long plastic tubes to put the rods in but then it will bang around and much of the weight of the rod will be on the guides... right? VS a series of rings where the rod portion sits and guides dont get any abuse, does this make sense? Any other advice or ways to do this? Any thoughts on any aspect of this appreciated!
  19. Do you love em? Have another brand you like more? They're all pretty cheap so one that costs double is fine. Just let me know what you like most! I like the stealth for this easy removal yet lockability.
  20. I am considering power poles, never had them before. I do mostly bass fishing but now and then I do like to troll for trout. Question is will the power poles get in the way of the fishing line from trolling rods? I was going to get the longer poles which stick up a bit more. Do they get in the way?
  21. I seem to be gut hooking more bass than ever this year, I know I need to move away from circle hooks but I had a bunch from saltwater use. Anyway what tactics/gear are you all using to minimize this? When you get them good, is it better to leave the hook in many using a metal snipper to cut shank of hook? Any thoughts appreciated.
  22. I sent you a message WPC, have a 18 ft Lund I am looking to sell.
  23. I posted in the walleye forum, posting said it needed admin approval then was gone this morning. I guess they don't allow for builds, I gave a price range and said dependent on buildout options. No love for ppl who like to build stuff. Here's a copy of ad I attempted to post, I thought followed their posting rules. "1992 18 Foot Lund Alaskan Stripped to bare aluminum hull. Father-son rebuild project, customizable as we are early stages, you choose layout and features. Engineer built/done right. New foam, All coosa composite/no wood. Brand new Yamaha 50 outboard (0 hours). New electrical, literally everything will be new. Optional Ultrex W I-pilot Link DI, Solix 15 with SI transducer. You want solar, center console, side console, downriggers, shock absorbing seats, no problem. Everything down to the passivated 3/16 stainless fasteners are all top end materials better than in many new boats, we like overkill. Shorelandr galvanized roller trailer, brand new Carlisle tires w/ new Dexter Vortex hubs 100k mile. Message me with interest Berlin, CT. Price depends on build but starts at 25k. Tight Lines!" What in their might have violated their rules? Firm price maybe, really cant with this!
  24. Thank you Toxic, I checked it out and it looks promising although the rules are very specific about photos/pricing lol I'd prefer to leave a range depending on options but I'll give it a shot.
