Brand new forum user here for about a week! I've tried catching bass for a year. I have all the rigs jigs worms spins cranks you can think of. I don't have a boat so all I can do is shore fish. I've tried all my lures, different color combo's for different days and nothing seems to work at all. I know how to retrieve the lures, just nothin bites at all. I've yet to catch one bass all the times ive tried to bass fish. I try to throw in and around cover around the lakes i fish and nothing. I try to throw it out far from the shore, let it drop (worms/sticks/tubes/creatures) and then do a slow twitch retrieve and nothing. I have patience so I'm not going to give up. I've looked at all the articles and tips and stuff here, I just can't seem to get it. Shore fishing is probably my #1 main problem. Anyone have any tips for shore fishing or any tips at all for me? This is a great site, just need that little extra help and tips. Also, fishing for bass in a river......any help there? It's still a little cold up here in southwest PA and there's a hard rain coming so I don't plan on going out anytime soon, so I'm trying to get all the info i can get so i can go out and get into the craze. In the meantime, it's time to catch the channel cats to bide my time. Thanks for the help in advance guys! I really do appreciate all the help you can give me!

Hey everyone, first off I'm absolutly new here so hello to everyone! So yes, Spring is here, most lakes in Southwestern PA have been thawed, and temperatures are reaching 70 degrees. Time to go fishing! I've already prepped the tacklebox, replaced all the line, even bought a new medium aciton rod. Seeing that the season has just turned does anyone have any tips before I head out to the lake? The canoe is not ready yet so I'll be on the shore and the lake (Donegal Lake) isn't all that deep but it's one of the best bass lakes near me. Should I go deep or shallow? The water temp is not going to be very warm but it's not going to be freezing. I've got all the lures/spinners/worms/grubs/jigs/swim baits you can think of, my problem is I don't know when to use them. Plus its close to spawn or just AT spawn so any tips would be appreciated!
