  1. You don't need to be older to appreciate that, that's a lake I would use my "natural" bait in
  2. Until the day comes that I am the winner of Powerball and having nothing better to do than motor my Gambler bassboat around the US for my one man Bass Tourney..... I'll have to say that my pick is my home lake, Lake Champlain here in VT. Just haven't had the opportunity to get anywhere else with one exception and that was a man made lake in Indiana called Heritage Lake but... what good is a lake that has rules such as "You can only travel the lake in clockwise pattern" huh??? Least to say that I wasn't impressed with the place.
  3. Any of you out there use Hannon's Big Bass snakes, please provide me with feedback on performance and reliability. Thanks

Burley, looks like the Cabela's Magnum bag I have, found that by changing out the 3700's to the 3701's I could squeeze 14 in the main body, a 3600 in each end and lot's of other stuff in that front pocket. This excludes my BPS Jigs and plastics bag! 8-)
  5. ;)Hey L-Train, have you thought of trying the Nemire Buzz-n spoons to replace your herbs dilly? Just a thought.
  6. Need everyone's help, how do I adjust the 6 pin control system. Please don't tell me to look at the owners manual, they are gone through someone elses actions and I am lost. :
  7. Hey Everyone, what are the best feathers (Hackle/Saddle/Tail) to use dressing up my treble hooks, I am looking more for the best action in the water over durability but if I can get both from the same feather then that's outstanding. I also usually put some flashabou on my hooks too. Thanks and I am looking forward to everyone' input
  8. : Just wanted to hear some opinions, is the BPS Pro Qualifier rain gear worth the $? I really want to know before I pull the trigger on this one, have to spend my money wisely as it is not abundent. Thanks to all in advance.
  9. ;D At least now I don't feel so crazy about my Tackle Bag. The fish scale last year reported 43 pounds, sick I know but I cant help myself! Thats just my main bag, I have another smaller BPS bag with my soft plastics. Maybe some day I will realize that "The one with most lures wins" isn't a true statement especially when you figure out that the fish in that body of water on that particular day only wnat one thing.

hey jomatty.... do I use a size 1 circle or octopus hook when wacky wormn'? If not then what size do you recommend?
  11. nebass posted a topic in Fishing Tackle
: Wacky wormn', Does it matter to use an O ring? With an O ring the hook will be perpendicular to the worm, will this affect the perormance or hook up rate as oppsed to just running the hook through the worm? I understand from reading that an O ring saves the bait but......just looking for opinions on hook ups. I have purchased a brass O ring tool and now I am wondering if it was the right thing to do. I have not tried wscky wormn' yet and each year I try to expand on my bass applications or methods. Thanks in advance to all ;D
  12. I agree that some of it is in good humor but I have noticed other statements that most people would say are not of the humor type, oh well.
  13. : Lets all just face the one agreable fact that we all share, we enjoy bass fishing! One other aspect that I would ask everyone on this site to realize is that we all have different walks of life, some people have outstanding balances on their credit cards and others only have one credit card and average a monthly bill that most people would die for. There are people in here who are not so forunate in the financial part of life as others and this should be considered when posting responses. Respect the fellow angeler for you never know whom it is you might be dealing with or crushing their dreams of having gear that they can truely afford. To each his own, keep your sacrism as your own! Congrats Bassassasin on your new setup and I hope you have many enjoyable hours of use with this gear. 8-)
  14. Thanks for the advise Raul....pretty helpful tip And now after reading the Baitcaster 101 write up, the question is what lb ratings are my reels and where do I find that info now that I can't locate the owners manuals? Also, the Centrifical Brake pins, pretty confused on those. Where is the actual On and Off? Magnetic is pretty straight forward..... Oh well
  15. :-/ I balanced all my BPS rods and well the performance was "shaky" to say the least. I found that after I balanced a few rods during casting it actually made the rod tip shake as the line was going out. Kind of like "Boinggggggggg". I ended up removing all the weights. I just wish I could understand how it is that those pro's "whip" those baitcasters and don't end up with a Birds Nest?? Wish I could perform like that with my baitcasters :-[ I have only been using BC's for about two years now.
  16. Hey everyone just want to make sure about the Double Polamar knot, how to do it, Do I simply make two passes through the eye before looping over the hook/lure?
  17. Looking for any and all reports, positive and negative, on Mustad's UL Max fishing line. Please share with me anything you know about it performance wise. Thanks :
  18. Has anyone used this braided line and what are your thoughts on it? :
  19. Well..... I would like to share a thought, some will spend ~$40,000 on a boat, another $35,000 on a truck or SUV to pull it, and thousands on rods, reels and line, so what is the matter with spending good money on some nice lures?? : What I get the kick out of the most is sitting in my buddy's old 1960's trihull fiberglass 14 footer at the boat ramp, talking to the guy who bought the Nitro 929CDX, and finding out he couldn't catch a blessid fish out of that fancy boat whilst my buddy and I had one of the best days on the lake! Don't get me wrong, I would buy the Nitro Z-9 if I could afford it but I can't, I can however buy some Megabass lures and not have a loan, to each his own I guess.
  20. Reading through my BPS magazine I saw a little blurp about placing a drop of glue on the braid line knot, I have also seen other write ups about using glue on soft plastics. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what glue I can add to my tackle that will perform well for everything over all in the tackle situation. BPS has the Fishing Glue by Carlson Tackle Co. but the squeeze bottle is out of stock. I found the CTC website and can order it directly but really, I am not paying $7.00 just for the shipping of a 1/3 oz bottle! So, does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks
  21. : Yeh, but just think about it for a moment. We get the snow and they get the Tornados, Flash Floods, Hurricanes, Earthquakes and then when it does snow in those other places it closes everything down because they don't have the equipement to move it. Aside form all of that, I get to live next to the Bassmasters rated number one natural bass fishing lake in the US ..... and fish it too! ;D
  22. I understand the difference in characterisitics between mono and flouracarbon but what are the characteristics of copolymer line as compaired to the other two? :-/
