  1. Lakeshore Limited then California Zephyr. But it will be next Wednesday.
  2. I would love to Bog fish! I don't care. Just so blessed to have my BR family!
  3. I am excited to announce my upcoming trip to the far north this summer to be Swampy's guest for a few days of Bass fishing! I just couldn't miss the opportunity for some "taters and sausages" and gobs of Bass! Thank you Katie for your generosity! I am hoping for around the first of June unless Katy says earlier. She is in the know! Here's the deal.....private guide paddling a canoe with one hapless angler in the bow tossing whatever, where ever. Can't wait! Hope I get to take her offshore fishing as well. One things for sure.......I plan on embarrassing myself in some sho nuff Maine seafood somewhere of her choosing! We missed out on seafood in the West Tennessee swamps, but I'm going to make amends! Other "bucket list" trips I will be praying for are.... Smallmouth fishing Kenora Ontario Musky Fishing with Tim using bait bigger than I catch! Sneeking into A-Jays boat when he's not looking....ditto for Dwight! Heading to Kansas with Bluebasser Mountain Fishing with TnRiver46 Pike fishing with gim, (He so eloquently speaks of the "Snot Rockets"), Carolina fishing with Pat....I'll fish while you play guitar! more Carolina fishing with Team9 good grief Don't know if I have enough in the tank to keep going! ect!
  4. That fish would solve my otter problem!
  5. I LOVE that system! I use it year round! 😁
  6. Thanks for taking us along!
  7. Not sure washed up but sho nuff headache. Wish my school had that trio of receivers that Ole Miss had back in the day at one time. AJ Brown, DJ Metcalf, and Elijah Moore on the field at the same time! Don't know that that will ever be equaled.
  8. My lowly Titans have not sniffed the playoffs since Moby was a minnow! Got to pull for the Bears as the "Mayor of Murfreesboro" Kevin Byard roams centerfield for them. Kevin was a four year starter at MTSU before being drafted by the Titans. Titans let him go in after several pro bowl seasons due to inability to pay him market value. Hated to see that. Him and Derrick Henry were the reasons I watched the Titans. Now they, along with AJ Brown and Mike Vrabel are somewhere else ☹️.
  9. Can't answer your question, but.......WAY TO GO on the 18 Bass!
  10. Thank you for your service Alex! Thank you and all the other vets for risking, and often times, offering your lives for us! That's a gift we can never repay.
  11. My boss has got this cute little french maid voice on his GPS that gently reminds him to "Turn Next Left", I have been trying to figure out how to get mine changed. Nurse Ratchet actually told me one time in a loud angry voice to do a U TURN! No way! I don't want to get fussed out when I go fishing. Been fussed at enough when I got home!
  12. I remember those peaceful days. Before Phones and GPS, and trucks that slam you from all sides with sensor chimes, and seatbelt chimes, and chimes, and chimes, and chimes! And a radio you could turn on without navigating a touch screen! I got this mean woman voice on my GPS that sounds like Nurse Ratchet! She's always telling me where to go, and I'm always telling her back where SHE can go!
  13. Yep, I caught one of those 99.999999999999999
  14. Nope, still live by the pond. Bought a river cabin and I'm practicing retiring. Hope to be good at it come fall of 2026. Had to get away from Nickajack. Used to be my favorite place but the eel grass has completely taken over to the point where no lure toss comes back unfettered. If and when a fish is hooked, the fish gets reeled in with five pounds of grass. Even below the dam it is bad. Eel grass grows away from back 30 ft. so there is no more drifting downriver tossing a ned against the bank. My 40 fish days ten years ago dwindled to 4 fish days fighting grass. So far at Kentucky lake, haven't seen the first blade of grass!
  15. My new place is south of the interstate where it still resembles a river. Several miles north it widens into the Kentucky Lake proper which is very wide, and stays that way all the way to the dam in Kentucky. There are lots of feeder creeks that are navigable. The insides of these creeks are just packed with baitfish. I caught four 12" spots that looked like they swallowed golf balls. Looking forward to the learning curve.
  16. It has been a difficult and trying year at the BRB household, but prayers and friends have made a difference. Got out on the Tennessee River this weekend and took advantage of warmer than usual weather. The wind made for tough fishing but I caught my first Kentucky Lake bass. As you can see in the sonar screenshot, these fish don't go hungry. This mass of shad was in Tom's creek, and it was this way for the whole trip. The few bass I caught were very well fed! Last photo is the view from my porch. Looking forward to figuring out Kentucky lake!
  17. I started a thread "What have you lost over the side", a while back, and some of the responses were hilarious. This would fit right in. We have lost everything over the side including my daughter! When she was little, she was standing on the bow and when I stepped onto the dock, the sudden rise of the bow sent her airborne! Of course dad had her in a preserver but she got dunked in cold water just the same. Rode home in my dry clothes promising me she wouldn't tell mom! Boy was I not surprised when she started blabbing.....☹️ Boy, did I get an earful that night!
  18. Anything I can jump over is a pond. If I can't jump it, it's a lake! Here in middle TN, we just have such a scarcity of water that every wet area is coveted. We have a thin soil over limestone and this ground will not hold water. That's why my pond had to have a vinyl liner.
  19. Dang it Al! Now it looks like the bait monkey will be bringing me Yo Zuri flatsides and Wigglewarts for Christmas! Well, I need to spend my children's inheritance on something before it's too late, and they get it!
  20. That's me Alex! 🙂 I really stink at this but I love being on the water. One of these days I'm going to hook something big that doesn't turn out to be a Drum!
  21. Russ, I got to do a road trip to Rocky Top Saturday to watch the Vols! Also got a 20oz Prime Rib at Ye Ole Steakhouse! You live in a beautiful part of America! My daughters first time to Neyland. Got a F35 flyover to boot! Great time by the river!
  22. I could not imagine what that explosion was like. Somehow ....boom...seems like an understatement! More like a detonation maybe? Bet that drag was singing!
  23. Russ, you East Tennessee Mountain boys are givin' us West Tennessee swamp boys a bad name! We can reed an rite! 🙂
  24. Al, the pictures you post say it all! Keep um' coming!
  25. Yep! She slammed it and took off like a locomotive!
