I am looking to replace the hooks on my KVD 2.5's simply because the stock hooks suck. They are way too big and break too easily. I want a little smaller but sharper and stronger hooks to replace my stock hooks. TIA

Yeah I already have a 7'3 MH Lancer Pro for chatterbaits and it like it a lot. It has the perfect amount of backbone and can cast really accurate.

@T-Billy I have 3 Arks and I'm a huge fan of them. I'm still not sure which rod I'll go with but I will take the Ark into consideration!

@A-Jay thanks man that helps a lot. What do you guys think about the Shimano SLX Glass Cranking Rod?

@Choporoz sounds good man. I've just heard that glass rods are the best for cranking. I would be willing to try out other though.

@casts_by_fly yeah I know that 8-14 ft isn't very deep. But here in Iowa 99% of the brushpiles and rock piles are in 8-14ft of water. In most of our lakes it doesn't get super deep. @Choporoz The parabolic bend makes it have a better hook up ratio with treble hooked baits. @casts_by_fly I'm mostly looking for a 7' 4" MH glass rod. I just don't know which brand to get.

I'm looking to start using deep cranks a lot more. I would like a rod that is around $100. I'm going to be throwing DT8-DT14 on this rod.

@Tatulatard I can agree with that because isn't Shimano made in Japan or something. Their prices haven't gone up at all I don't think. I could be wrong tho.

Thank you all for your replies I just got done ordering the Shimano SLX! Hope it performs like you all said it would. I already have a RevoX and I love it. So I figured I would see if there is any other good reels for $100. Also does anybody know why the RevoX went from $100 to $120??

I think I will try out the Shimano SLX because that seems to be the one that most people like better. Thanks guys.
