  1. Jigs go in a plano box in no particular order. Trailers stay in original packaging and are kept in my tacklebag.
  2. Awesome!! Bandit 200 is my #1 crank!!
  3. When I am up close fishing a blade through timber, I will pitch it just like you would a jig. Cliff
  4. I am rooting for the Giants all the way. I am picking a NY vs BAL superbowl!!
  5. I love watching Shaw fish, he gets so excited!! "That's a big ol pig!!"
  6. I like Tebow and was rooting for them. On the other hand, Brady is a beast!! I am no football expert, but it seemed to me like the O line just could not handle the Pats defense. Poor Tebow was runnin for his life every play it seemed!! I think Tebow will do good things in the future.
  7. Well they weren't activated today!! I will try some other spots next weekend, going to be too windy tomorrow. Thanks for the input! Cliff
  8. Well going in the afternoon didn't help!! I would have skunked if it wasn't for one single dink willing to bite!! I am struggling this winter, Way off my numbers from last year. Cliff
  9. That was an exciting game!! I was glad to see the Niners win!
  10. I like Tebow and will be rooting for him and the Broncos until they are out of it, or win it all. He is a good dude and he deserves it, IMO.
  11. Sure is, and it isn't the first time he has offered his expertise to me.
  12. You should take a Rage Craw, another spider jig, and make a "prototype" to get the ball rolling!!! I used to catch some big smallies on a spider jig when I lived in MN.
  13. I'll tell ya what, if I can find it, I will throw it in there and you can just have it. I don.t even know if all the parts are there. I don't have a rod for it anyway, and don't need one, I have too many as it is!! Cliff
  14. I used 50lb PP on an Abu Black Max, basically the same reel I believe minus a bearing. Never had any issues with it. In fact, if I didn't take it completely apart and not be able to put it back together I would still be using it!!!
  15. I always toss em in my boat, then later when I clean out my boat my nephews collect the old ones and keep them in an old flower pot outside. A couple yeas ago I caught a small bass that had a 10 inch worm tail sticking out. I started pulling and it just kept coming up!! I got the whole thing out, probably saved its life!
  16. My Revo S-L's are my favorite for sure. But the more I use that new 51E the more I like it!!
  17. Recommend me a new graph, under $200, what will get me the best bang for my buck? Thanks Cliff
  18. I sure do!! I tried one out and liked it, so with some serious over time I had that year, I bought one every week for three more weeks. I acquired three more recently from a member on this forum. For me, the price is right, good warranty, and best of all, made in the USA!!!! that "oddball" Powell was bought because of a great sale price. I have hauled some nice bass out of some serious wood cover with that rod on a squarebill, it is a beast for sure.
  19. I have been struggling lately catching much. I have caught two bass in my last three outings, both on a football jig around rocky areas. The fish were bigger than average but getting more than one is getting tough, got skunked today actually. I have been fishing from sun up until 10am-11am or so. I am wondering if I would be better off waiting until later in the day? Temps have been in the lower 40's early warming into the 60's by mid afternoon with clear skies. Tomorrow however, is supposed to cloudy but about the same temps. Water temps have been in the upper 40's to low 50's. What do you think, go at sun up or wait until maybe noon to hit the water? Thanks Cliff
  20. Yup. I use a 7'11" rod (not the Rage rod) for all my flippin and pitchin. I am kinda short and I have no issues from my 8' Pelican weather I am standing or sitting.
  21. From left to right. 1. Lamiglas Excel 703/Revo S-L/10lb CXX 2. Lamiglas Excel 704/Curado 51E/10lb CXX 3. Lamiglas Excel 704/Quantum Kinetic/20lb Sunline Fluoro 4. Lamiglas Excel 735/Revo S-L/20lb Sunline Fluoro 5. Powell Squarebill Rod/Revo S-L/20lb Sunline Fluoro 6. Lamiglas Excel 7116/Revo S-L/20lb Sunline Fluoro 7. Lamiglas Excel 7116/Daiwa Viento/20lb Sunline Fluoro Not pictured is a Lamiglas Excel 734 which is need of a reel and a 6'6" Medium American Rodsmiths spinning rod with an Abu Garcia Cardinal 101/12lb Nanofil that will be used by my nephews.
  22. I pitch a 1/8 Rage Rig with no issues on my Revo S-L or Daiwa Viento, both with 20lb fluoro.
  23. I have been doing this recently, the wind is my enemy being in a small boat. Here is what I do. I locate the structure or whatever then toss a marker on it. Then I back off to whatever distance I think I need to be to work the structure thoroughly, then drop anchor. Fish the spot, pull anchor, retrieve marker, do it again on the next spot. Works great for me and I don't have to try to fight the wind. I made my own marker too. I used three pieces of foam that is about 3/8" thick cut into an hour glass shape. Glued them together and wrapped it with some fishing line with weights on the end. It spins nicely and does the job. Good Luck! Cliff
  24. It sure is!! I am going to have to place another order with Siebert soon, I donated 5 or 6 jigs to Lake Waco over the last two weeks. I have plenty of brush jigs still but I am almost out of the footballs!!
