  1. thats a pretty fish, how did it fight?
  2. that is an awesome looking lake
  3. Retrieval back to shore seems more effectice than casting to shore... most of the time. But I now have another part to my theory, I think the small pounds with little to no cover have better acoustics. Sound waves and water vibration are not buffed out by cover or irregular shoreline. That leads me to believe that bass hear much better and feel vibrations much better in golf course ponds.
  4. mmm... RC 1.5 WP chain bass on 6.5 inch kut tail fished like a senko cheap version of the sweet beaver best spot ever on the Saint John's river. The shad were attacked so much they were beaching themselves on the lilly pads. same spot. btw, the rage tail was proven to me here by my buddy dead armored catfish on the saint johns... the birds drop them all over this spot under the I-4 bridge AC plug fish from the pond WP chain bass in the days of the short hair Nice looking WP chain bass with the jon boat pretty much beached
  5. that is also true. In winter though, a lot of people fish on the water hazards at my course. But now it's too hot for these people, so there is no fishing pressure.
  6. http://www.***.com/descpageSWMJRAGO-JRGSR.html It appears you saved 40 bucks, and yours looks way better
  7. I posted this on the golf course pond thread, but it didn't answer any of the guy's questions, so I figured I would make it a thread. Ever wondered why bass are so aggressive in golf course ponds? I have witnessed packs of 4-5 larger sized bass actually cruising around close to shore, searching and hunting for bait. Since there is no cover the bait fish move more, which forces the bass to hunt rather than ambush. This makes the bass way more aggressive. I think this is why I have caught 10 nice fish in an hour, and it is a very common thing to catch one on your first cast.
  8. Hehe, that's our fishing caddy. It really is an awesome spot to fish, we just discovered a few months ago. Sitting on the fairway of a Jack Nicklaus golf course at sunset pulling out big top water bass left and right....doesn't get much better than that . I still don't understand why it's such good fishing out there. There's no structure at all, no shady spots during the day and almost perfectly clear water, doesn't really sound like a good fishing spot does it? I have thought the same thing about why golfcourse ponds are such great spots to fish. I actually have a theory on this. I have witnessed packs of 4-5 larger sized bass actually cruising around close to shore, searching and hunting for bait. Since there is no cover the bait fish move more, which forces the bass to hunt rather than ambush. this makes them way more aggressive. I think this is why I have caught 10 nice fish in an hour
  9. yeah my dad lives on a nice golf course too so we know what golf course pond fishing is all about
  10. ^is going to send LCpointerKilla the lure next!!
  11. Well 5 inch senkos and 4 inch topwaters are not big baits at all. I know for a fact that a big bait (8 inches+) is not going to catch very much fish at all under 3 pounds. And I also know that one time I caught a 4 pounder on a rooster tail. Luck has more to do with catching a big fish on a small bait, as opposed to catching a big fish on a big bait.
  12. people probably caught fish in it, while it was rigged on a jig head... but they were actually enticing the strike by just dragging and wiggleing the worm like a T-rig
  13. Is clay OK after the RPG, or is there any lasting injury? Thank you guys for what you have done for this country.
  14. they are easy to spot because you will frequently see them surface ("the tarpon are rolling") for a gulp of air because I've read they have primitive air bladders
  15. Lost the tail to this AC plug minnow... Looking to make a new tail for it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  16. haha welcome back Avid! Sorry I cant help you with this because my lakes are all pretty clear
  17. alright fourbizz thats the one. Thanks order will be made soon!!!
  18. OK I've decided on the Slammer, thanks guys, but should I get the original or the 3 peice one? Also, what color do you think is the best for eelgrass infested florida lakes?
  19. What is the best one <60$ ??? I can't wait to catch a monster swimbait fish Thanks fellas
  20. interesting to see how they feed on trout. I love it towards the end when the one bass bucks across the whole tank at like 100 mph, that just shows the power they have
  21. thats a small 2 1/4 pounder, but cool you caught it on fly
  22. aaghghhhh that would just stink. I caught my PB with no camera though
