How so? With the crimp weights?

Light wire weighted EWGs
Ok. Maybe I'll order some. Thanks for letting me know! Mostly Zman salty Ned shrimps Yeah I've used these before. Not what I'm looking for

Light wire weighted EWGs
These look like a heavier wire to me. Is that the case or no? Also looking for the weight to be a little further back. Trying to get a horizontal fall

Light wire weighted EWGs
Yeah I've used those in the past. I'm really looking for a hook with the weight molded in though

Light wire weighted EWGs
Anyone know of any light wire, belly weighted EWGs that come in a 1/0 or #1 size? The only ones I've found are the ones linked below and they do work pretty well after bending the point out a bit. Would like to find some in a #1 if possible. If anyone is aware of any, please let me know. Otherwise I might try to tie some lead wire on a bare hook and see how that goes https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Ichikawa_Weighted_SP_Offset_J_Jerkbait_Swimbait_Hooks/descpage-ICOJ.html?from=basres

Another vote for Expride here. Nothing that compares in that price range imo

Thoughts on Ark Cobb series rod
I own an Essence that I'm a fan of. That's the extent of my Ark experience though. I've been told the Tharp series are great as well

Sierra BFS
Unless you're looking to throw feathers, I'd go with the 1 power. I have the 691 and it will still cast down to 3-3.5g. A TRD by itself weighs about 4g, so I'd go with the 1 power.

Medium power bait cast rod suggestions
Seeing @casts_by_fly comment reminded me - I'm selling a Falcon Cara Dragger 1 on the flea market at the moment that could do all these things. Falcon rates it a heavy (3/8-1oz) but it's more along the lines of most manufacturers' medium heavies. It's in really good shape. I think I'm asking $125 for it, would have to go back and double check. Feel free to PM if you want to discuss more

Medium power bait cast rod suggestions
Poison Adrena 610 M. Favorite rod I own. I use it for a lot of those same techniques fishing for smallmouth

Talking mostly neds/any TRD lure on something like a 1/0 or #1 hook. I'll check out some of these vids. Thanks!

Kistler KLX 7' ML Casting
Ok cool. That's the one that would work best for me I think. I read that the action is super moderate on it. Would you agree? Can you set the hook on a light wire EWG with a small plastic?

Kistler KLX 7' ML Casting
Which one of the Hunts do you have? The 3X looks to be the most in line with what I'm looking for

Kistler KLX 7' ML Casting
Haha well I hope not! I just ordered one. I'll give her a fondle when she arrives and see how she feels. I'm hoping it's what I'm looking for

Kistler KLX 7' ML Casting
Yeah I've seen their BFS rods. I'm not looking for anything that whippy. I'd like to have just a smidgen of power 😂

Kistler KLX 7' ML Casting
Anyone used this? I'm looking at it as a BFS option. It's rated 1/16-3/8. If you've fished one, can it truly cast that low? Or at least down to ~1/8. They've also got one in the Helium line that's a fast action. I kinda wanted the mod fast though to help with casting. If you have any input on this one or the Helium I'd love to hear it
