I believe Gama does offer a barbless treb. They appear to be limited on sizes though. It's crazy that almost no one sells them

    Which ones do you use?

Yeah this is kinda my thought too! I hate trebles. Really just avoided hard lures for a while but have experimented with inline hooks recently that I like in some cases. I think they aren't the best for suspending lures where you can have some slack line and you need a fish to hook itself when it bites your lure. So now exploring barbless trebles for those

This is what I'm doing at the moment on a few lures. But wanted to explore other options
  5. Anyone have any they recommend? Bass sized trebles. Not trout
  6. That weed guard ain't gonna do much guarding. They screwed up by not putting a larger one in
  7. Doesn't look like they have what I'm looking for, outside of doing a custom mold. That's a good source for other things though. Thanks for sending. I'd never seen that before
  8. Works for any lure you're looking to bomb cast. If you're target casting the bank, might want to look at a little shorter
  9. At the moment, looking for 1/2oz football jigs with a 2/0 heavy wire hook and a wire keeper. Just looking for the "raw" jig bc I want to paint it and tie my own skirt
  10. So it really is an Expride copy 🤣
  11. Hmm. Interesting. I haven't thrown much light stuff. I'll have to try it out
  12. FG for braid to leader Clinch for FC to lure Uni for braid to lure
  13. I clean all my reels pretty regularly. Full breakdown and do all the things you mentioned. I'm not 100% sure when but definitely in the last 6-8 months on this one
  14. Who's done this? I ordered a scorpion spool and put it in my K. Limited experience with it but can't say I've noticed a huge difference vs the original spool in terms of casting distance. Certainly doesn't feel like my other MGL spools
  15. The KLX is a mod fast vs the Helium's fast. I went w/ the KLX specifically for that reason thinking it could load the lighter stuff a bit better. Haven't compared the two side by side tho so not sure how different they are. I do have a different Helium that is a fast action and I'd say it's for sure a different taper than the taper on my KLX
  16. I bought a Kistler KLX 7' ML recently and it's the best bfs rod I've used for how I fish "BFS". I use it for 4-7g lures. The KLX is rated 1/16-3/8. Not sure how it'll do with a true 1/16, I haven't casted that low.
  17. I like Eyestrike Trout Eye jigs for my 3" paddletails. The hook wire is pretty perfect - it's not a medium wire but also not a heavy wire, it's somewhere right in between. I've fished it on ML rods without having any hookset issues and MH rods with 6-8lbs of drag without it bending out. They also make a "finesse" one that comes with a 1/0. The standard is a 2/0
  18. I can't answer your question specifically, but I own the 6'10 PA and it is prob my favorite rod I own, or at least top 2. Someone once told me that the Adrenas used the MBR taper from Loomis, not sure if that's true or not. I'd still call the Adrena a fast action but maybe on the slower end of fast. I use it for a lot of things - topwaters, paddletails, minimax chatterbait, light t-rigs/jigs. I pretty much never throw jerkbaits so I can't speak to those specifically but I do love the rod. It is insanely light
  19. I take off screw locks and tie a fluorocarbon keeper below the eye with really thin braid. It's the best method I've found if you have a vise and know how to tie a jig
  20. Not sure how light you're trying to go but I have a 6'10" Curado ML that I love. It's rated 3/16-1/2. I also recently purchased a Dobyns HP Extreme that's a 7' ML and like it in my limited experience with it
  21. Jig Spook Ned 3" paddletail Chatterbait
  22. VMC has the most hook gap/bite out of the box in my experience. I've seen it across a few different of their lines. But you can always take a pair of pliers and bend any points out if fishing one where there isn't enough gap. I agree with you, it's all about the angle of the point on EWGs. I've been happy with all of the VMCs I've fished
  23. I'd stick with braid if I were you, especially bank angling. 30lb is a good size for general purpose
