Looking for suggestions to pair with this bad boy coming from Japan. I have two St. Croix Legend Xtremes but I’m looking to get into Power-BFS. What rod will showcase the reel’s capabilities in you guys opinion?

Why does your significant other or wife, hate/dislike your fishing hobby? Many guys post about hiding combos, trying to sneak them past their wives. In all seriousness, have you ever talked with your wife about your hobby? My wife got drunk one time and I decided to ask her, and in her drunken truth, she stated that "she hates that she has to share her time with me when it comes to fishing, that the passion that I have for fishing she wishes she was a fish" TL/DR: Does your wife express concern about your spending habits and "feelings" about fishing gear?

Sucks you don't get the warranty but, the Yen is significantly less than the USD, you can snipe some high quality reels for very cheap. The downside is it takes a week or two to get them.

I hear Matt and the guys over at Tactical Bassin say "Confidence lures" a lot. I believe confidence plays a big part when you're on the water. I usually go 7' Medium Heavy/Fast 8.5 Gear Ratio, 15 LB seagar tatsu, 1/8 green pumpkin tungsten bullet weight pegged, 2 or 3 ought Super Line Gamagatsu EWG, with a Zoom Baby Brush Hog watermelon red I want to expand to other styles. What's your go-to? Help a brother out.

I believe this is the way to go. I personally would go the DVT route. Never heard of them before today. any pictures of their work?

Worst: Changing line on a reel too often, swapping baits on a pole because I watched too much youtube. Buying everything I see on Tactical Bassing, time management leaving the lake/pond, (one more cast) keeping up with Japanese trends. Best: I can sit at a lake for 12hrs

15 pounds Tatsu, 3/8 tungsten drop shot weight. St.Croix Legend Xtreme 7’ lure rating 1/4-5/8 It’s usually at the end of the cast, once the lure hits the water 3 or 4 spools of line backlash, from my understanding this shouldn’t happen with a high end reel of this caliber.

The Daiwa Steez 24 is an amazing reel. However, I keep experiencing minor overrun issues. I know it has a zero adjuster, but how can I stop this issue if I can’t adjust the spool tension? Is it the line or the iiweight that I’m using?
