Recently moved from FL back to the midwest. So my winters are filled with scheming and not fishin. I am in the market for a new baitcast set up. I have decided to go with the CU200DPV or CU200DHSV from Shimano. For those that don't habla shimano. Anyways, I need help with the rod though. I am looking in the 7' length area. I want this to be a versatile set up. Want to be able to throw spinnerbaits, topwater, and small SB's. Yet want it to still have good sensitivity. I love the look of the Cumara. Just haven't heard a lot about. Love shimano. But also have a G Loomis spinning rod. So I realize that Loomis is anouther route. Sorry so long winded. Just thinkin a lot about it since you know the weather is cold. Help me please. Rand

ANYONE HAVE A CUMARA

I know that the cumara rods are designed for bottom contact baits. Which is cool. I fish lots of plastics. Yet also fish some spinnerbaits, topwater, etc. Would this be a good rod for me. Looking to get the 7'2" and pair it with a curado.

What brand of big worms do you use. You know in the 7" to 10" size? Has anyone ever tried the 7" Senko or 7" BPS Stik-O? Rand

Thanks ReelMech. I really couldn't see much difference either. It seems that the Stradic is made to be able to used in saltwater. Think I will probably stick with the Symetre. Yet I will probably end up sending you my old one to get it fixed. Rand

Looking to buy a new spinning reel. Have had two shimano's over the years. The first one was a sahara i believe. It lasted for 7-8 years. The second one was a symetre. It lasted at least that long as well. Just wondering what you guys were throwing and what you would recommend. Looking to spend under $100. Rand
