  1. Texas rig worm and drop shot fished very very very slow has worked for me in the past. One winter excursion I remember well. I set my pole on the ground with a t-rig in the water, next to a lay down in about 5 feet of water(the Max depth of the pond was 7 feet maybe). I ran back to the car for something and it took me maybe 8 minutes. When I got back I picked up the rod and the 1st hop the line started to move sideways but I felt nothing. I set the hook just in case and lo n behold a 4 pounder was on.
  2. Yes. I pay no heed to foolish people. Anyone giving me an opinion that I didn't ask for is considered, by me, to be a fool. So I politely walk away.
  3. Keep tension on the line and load in the rod... Usually that's opposite the way the fish wants to travel. and try to keep them from jumping. That's a general rule for me.
  4. Kayak
  5. Around the bank is emergent. At the edge of the emergent vegetation the submerged vegetation starts out at 2ft below the surface then drops down quickly to 8-12 feet below the surface. And it's basically like that around the whole lake
  6. Wall the bank at Sunrise. Throw a rapala f9 or f11(I use silver/black or gold/black) parallel to the bank. Tight Lines
  7. My main fishing lake is small and loaded with vegetation. Are square bills effective running on top of the submerged grass like the old rattle traps?

  13. I used to love floating down in a canoe, and now a kayak, fishing for smallmouth. You can catch dozens of little prizefighters in that creek. It's a stellar fishery. Well it used to be. I'm going, in August, for the first time in many years.
  14. Today was mine too. Bathwater and 95 degrees at 10 am combined to make this day a bit unpleasant. Still better than going to work though.

  19. Of course there are. 😂 I knew they were out there. I was shocked when I searched those 2 apps and found almost none. FC has 1 I can enter for sure. It looks like a regional or state thing. I'll be reading the rules after I type this. And I think I saw 1 more on FC that I could enter. Thanks y'all Tight Lines
  20. I don't have social media apps other than this one. I did download both of those apps. Not much going on in either of them in ky.... Although I haven't paid a fee for either as of yet.
