  1. I'm almost rooting for them to lose now. Man,something needs to be done. ;D
  2. I've also worked in a union at one time. The IAM when I worked at McDonnell Douglas, now Boeing. I saw those ranking, high seniority guys sitting on their back sides sleeping far too often. They were some of the least productive workers in the plant. Mostly because they knew they couldn't be touched. In fact, the seniority system is probably one of the worst things that came out of unionizing. Pay raises should be earned by merit, not how long you've been hanging around a place of work. Monetary raises provide incentive to increase productivity, guaranteed raises via unions do nothing to help a company become more efficient nor make more money. yes sir i agree, but that doesn't speak for the hard working people.Who actually worked those long years and still continue to work hard. I always gave my 110% full effort. I was there almost 6 years.Seniority or not I did the best job i could and took pride in it. I know some people try and take advantage of unions. They make it bad for the rest of us. > :-/ Compare to the workers and the supplier's workers making $30 an hour, our company wasn't paying anywhere near that for us. Most of us were making $12-$15.It still has me scratching my head at that one. BTW Frogtog for CEO! ;D As long as i can afford my food, gas and other commodities(fishing junkie) I'm happy.
  3. That's not necessarily true. Many non-union jobs exist that are pay very well. I don't think Toyota's plants are unionized, but they have no shortage of well paid workers. It does depend on the company.I honestly don't remember ever being treated or paid what i should have gotten when i wasn't in a union compared to now.Unions do watch out for the workers. But they can take it too far sometimes too. I was at the union website today and this is the kind of offer every guy in office would do if he could get away with it. This is wrong...somebody who has 20 yrs of experience can get booted because somebody of 2 yrs experience and is currently taking less pay can take his job from out and under him.Where would the loyalty in that be? My Dad experience that 10 times in 17 yrs down in Texas....That can hurt a person's pride and everything he did for his job and company. There really isn't any big unions down there.
  4. I am currently in management but I was raised in a strong Union enviroment, belonged to several myself. To blame the unions is totally ridiculous, why don't we just phase out your job and see how you like it. There has to be compromise, it is to the point where the Union is betting that Management has to blink, and visa versa. Attacking unions is ridiculous. Muddy is correct.Without unions Companies can do what they want and pay what they want. That won't help anybody.Might as well just let all the illegals take our jobs for $7.00 an hour. One of the reasons why i didn't mind leaving Texas at the time.It ain't just the unions...if anything unions are trying to save jobs. We were making half of what the big 3 were paying their workers per hour.If i can survive on what i made, they can too. But people are too dang greedy....Unfortunately something's gotta give and break. We all feeling the effect of it.
  5. Please elaborate. Everything...It stables out the country.
  6. Want my opinion on the whole thing? This is what happens when you try to cut out the middle class. Pure Chaos.....
  7. I agree,it's not needed. I have a reel that has the flipping switch and i never use the switch(it stays in the off position).
  8. Green pumpkin or black/blue in stain water. Clearer water light brown with orange.I'm known to throw pink or red in that condition as well.I get funny looks though.

Why was this guy charged? He was defending his property from trespassers.

That's the truth. Time for some of us to start looking at a different career. It's gonna save what they got going now,but it's not gonna save any jobs. >

Thanks guys, just found out my girl's uncle got laid off monday as well. Michigan is getting hit HARD! Just filed online for unemployment. Will also be heading to the office to make sure i did it right.I still have to show up at the unemployment office within 2-3 days.

Yup I'm out of work.It sucks..... Not sure what i'm going to do now.Guess all i can do is pray. Michigan is feeling the hit hard.
  15. I have one and still have it....Only real gripe i can give it is the paint on it scratches and fades easily. Performance wise...it's a very decent reel. For $60 you got an awesome reel.I wouldn't pay the $130 price tag that i brought mine for.
  16. Do what we do....store the entire 24 pack of toilet paper beside the toilet.Right next to our little magazine rack.
  17. Right now i'm getting all my components @ janns netcraft.Barlows tackle will be my next buy for some different body types. http://www.luremaking.com/howto/frenchspinner.htm That link is the how to...Only difference i do is wrap it 3 times on step #5 instead of two like they show. Also instead of putting the hook right on the wire shaft loop i put a split ring on there. So if i want to change out hooks i can do so. Pretty simple and you can add your own color combination that you may not be able to get in stores. As for hooks i look around for deals....I just happen to find owner hooks on sale for .99 for 2 hooks.
  18. PM sent. I think i found what you are looking for. I use the same skirts on my spinnerbaits.
  19. I'll admit...I'm actually getting a little depressed this year. Making inline spinner and putting skirts on a few jigs are helping...but i don't have enough money to support this monkey too hard. Working for the steel automotive industrial with it getting extremely bad and everybody losing their jobs,I'm stressing out big times. I'm missing my hometown Dallas,TX. :'(

I use them on the lure that tied on.I accidentally caught myself on a good jacket of mine and couldn't unhook. So now any free treble that swings on my rod gets a hook bonnet to keep that from happening again. It also helps getting the rod out of the car easier with those hooks covered.
  21. Who sells that? Looks like something i want to buy my girl when she goes with me every once in awhile fishing.Be sweet to get her own little set up.
  22. Green is one of my favorite color. I love how they made the reels much smaller...that was my only problem with the 200D series....too big for my little hands.
  23. Ahhh,Got ya...thanks for the tip.
  24. My luck i'd lose it on the 2nd or 3rd cast. ;D
