I'm not doing Bass pro's this year...so i guess i'll join this one. What's the minimum to spend? I'm probably going over the $30 mark...lol

I don't agree with the crankbait line as far as fluoro goes. Some of those test pounds are a bit overkill.

Looking at the dawia's mike rod. Kinda depends...my job is shaky right now and could pretty much put a halt on it.

They added another extra rod to the limit here. There goes my space on the shore.And i thought 2 rods were too much.

Just know this....fluorocarbon is Less manageable than mono. I use fluorocarbon for jigs and T-rig baits.That's about it.

I learned the hard way this late spring.Don't skimp on hooks. I learned a very very hard lesson. Guess what hook i lost it on too? Shouldn't be a hard guess.

I'm making inline spinners this winter. I'll be peeking in there soon.

I love my 100D...only thing is,it's about $40 cheaper(used) than a brand new 200E. I'm going to get an E series over the wintertime. It only makes sense to me to go after the new E series.

They both seem to be almost identical reels...same braking system as well. I'm impressed with the BPS dave fritts reel as well. I still can't figure out the braking system on it...I must have asked 3-4 people so far and still can't figure it out.Every time i try to get the brake pin out on it hits the covering panel.I'm an idiot or something. My shimanos do not do this at all. Are you talking about the screw that holds the palming plate (the left side of a right handed reel) on? When you access the brake pins(those little hats) pull them out to turn the brake on the plate will not close.Those little pins seem to stick out too far that it hits and rubs on the inside of that plate.

I ended up going to reel mech. website and getting both sets. Not sure why i didn't think of this the first time.

What brand tip replacement for spinning rod do you guys use if a tip breaks off? I broke off 2" tip off my 6' 8" rod earlier this year and would like to get it replaced.It's my favorite rod. :'( I'm looking for something decent...no really cheap ones.

I'm a big fan of black foam grips as well...Problem is i can't afford the rods... ;D
