I wish i could,but i'm a bit swamp the rest of fall.Gas,32 hour work week and getting the house straightened up by the end of the year.Both places you mentioned are about an hour away....If i'm going to make that trip it's gonna have to be an all day thing for me to make it worth while. If anything let try for spring,let's say opening day for bass fishing.That way we got all year to plan for it.

X2... i started on a inline spinner...still use them to this day.They flat out catch just about anything and everything.

I've gone back to mono mainly...with the exception of one brand of fluorocarbon using strictly for jigs.

I absolutely hate em'. Not only can i not catch anything,nothing seems to bite em' for me either.I read up on just about everything,even watched what i was doing and what my bait was doing in the water. I don't get it....yet i throw them on every outing,because i really want to figure this out.

You know what's funny,if it was anybody else but burley they would have gotten ripped on hardcore. I have apologize to burley for crapping on his thread in PM. However i still don't agree with selling anything for more than it's worth....i don't care who the person is.

i visited stoney creek today, the water there rose about 3 feet and is extremely murky i caught two pikes by the first dam right off the weed lines. one with a blue and black pork & jig and the other with the rage tail shad. sadly i had no bas today Newburgh lake, 1 pike & 2 bass off mepps black fury.Water conditions and water level was the same as jacob. IMO it was an awesome time to be out there.Best it's been since all summer.

Caught my first pike today.Grabbed it by the gill area and it shook loose.Those pikes seem to shake harder than bass.Since it was my first one,me knowing about the teeth on them suckers i panicked and it slipped out,cut my line and swam off with the lure still in it's mouth.

Those kids are gonna love it.

I'd wish i thought of that....I use a caliber to see what the line size is.(some reason i forget when i store the reel away for backup) I fish both clear and green....neither seems to get more bites considering the water color.

I use a 2 piece st. croix Triumph 6'6'' medium fast and i have no problems.I've thrown tubes,wacky rig trick sticks/senkos and even #4-#5 mepps inline spinners with this rod. However i wouldn't use this rod for drop shot.It can be done,but I'd prefer a lighter rod for that one. Only thing i have against this rod is it is a little on the heavy side.

Been the worst fishing season for me yet.Spring i had an awesome time killing those smallies,but once spring left my fishing has sucked hardcore. Today was the first time i got back on the action for largemouth(new water) and to make it even better i caught my first northern pike.I'm in love with northern pike fishing!

I hope you got some pampering lined up for her....Mine has been real good about me leaving for fishing.It's the spending part she doesn't always agree with.

It effects everything here,fish are more scattered around.I hit the spinnerbaits and cranks to find fish. Water is gonna be muddy after rain,so go with darker color lures for stain muddy water.

$3.79 to $4.19 here they went up 30 cents in 8 hours. Got my gas around 2pm at $3.95 yesterday,the same gas station this morning is selling at $4.19.I'm glad i got some before it went over the $4 mark.

good point....I stay away from those limited edition versions at both companies.
