Dipping the entire tail or claws to get that chartreuses color for about 5 seconds. Then wait another 15-20 seconds before actually casting the bait into the water. I'll give JJ's a holler and see what he suggests.

I seem to be having some problems with this stuff.I don't know if it's too strong or what, but it's repelling the bass here. Dipped it on a beaver bait(just the claws) and not a single bite...changed it out with just a regular beaver without the JJ's magic i started getting bites. Is it possible that scents can turn a bass away on days they may not want it? I'm scratching my head on this one.
  4. I have a hard time controlling fluorocarbon lines as well....doen't matter what brand i've tried they all seem to try to jump off the spool.Trilene 100% fluorocarbon was the worst for me.I ended up giving it away to somebody that probably knows how to tame that beast.
  5. That's what they said about the hydro lure too....I can prove that one wrong....
  6. Got 5 in rotation...e21 white fishing hat,2 walmart bass logo caps, bass pro shop and family guy's evil monkey hat.
  7. That reel looks sweeter than i thought it would. Now comes the hard part...saving money for one.
  8. That's some impressive work! I like that.
  9. ;D,Funny you should say that....I had my best year this year using the fat ika this weekend.
  10. Sounds just like me...I wasn't catching anything for almost 4 weeks till this past last weekend. You are also right, just about every fish i caught was in less than a foot of water holding in the tightest possible places.I had to break out the spinning rig to skip under that stuff.
  11. Not always...just like all the little lakes i fish none of them are mentioned in the book...however our 14" size limit applies to all waters.Private ponds and golf course may be excluded from those set of rules(they have their own rules). Each state is different....just contact your wildlife center.
  12. The limit is 14 inches..even if it's a private lake are you sure the limit doesn't apply? Best I can say is contact your local wildlife center....even if it's allowed, you will probably hear the same thing from them that we here are telling you.
  13. I was gonna try and hit up metro beach this year...but gas prices kept me close home. Everything around here is semi slow too.I fish ford and belleville lake.Ford is just starting to heat up again with smallmouths. The largemouth for the most part eluded me this year.
  14. location,location,location....Glenn knows where they are.Or should i say he's "Da Man". I'm shore bound as well, depending on where i am I'll move spot from spot till i start getting bites.Another thing to consider is if you are fishing a spot that gets heavily pressured by other shore bound anglers, fishing can be even harder and more frustrating. I probably hit up 30 different spots in a 3-4 hour time span.
  15. Wow 2 years! Nice catch, sounds like you had fun.
  16. Just make sure it's legal..... And from what i read in north carolina fishing regulations it ain't legal...
  17. ;D I'm going for the same set-up.... 8-) Slow speed model with the 7'2" Parabolic rod.Crankbait set-up made in heaven....
  18. I'm really looking forward to try the anacondas! This will actually be my first experience with them. Some reason i just haven't gotten into them.
  19. Get rid of lime wire... Then go install AVG. Had the same problem and that is what i did.No problems since.
