All these cool storys and yet i can't catch a darn thing on senko stickbaits....I was out for 8 hours last week fishing NOTHING but the senkos and stickbaits and had one small 10'' fish to show for.They are not my confidence bait.I'm like muddy man with his confidence in jigs. ;D I really wish i brought my jigs with me that day. I was determined to figure out how to work that senko though...that i did do.I think it's just the lake i fish...seriously.Throw tubes,jigs or some sort of kreature bait and you will be catching the bigger fish.Very few people who fish that lake has figured that out so far.

I got their tournament ZX 7.0:1 reel with the heavy rated rod..so far no problems with them...i got them early this year.I use the reel strictly for spinners,buzzbaits and occasionally burning crankbaits.The rod i use for jigs....i did that on purpose that i needed a jigging rod in heavy action and the reel for another setup.The guy couldn't understand why i wanted a burner reel with a jigging rod...lol.Little did he know i wasn't gonna pair them..i did it because it was alot cheaper to go that way for me.I didn't expect them to last long,gave them quite abuse and they are still holding up.

I second that...i really need to get out to lake erie soon,seems like nothing is biting much around here though.

I can't crank a spinning reel with my left hand in all my years of fishing...i haven't even tried a baitcaster.I'm one of those idiots switching around. I figured if i had a hard time with spinning reel no sense in trying with a baitcaster.

The only bad thing i've heard about quantum is they tend to be a little heavy in weight. I think i'm gonna try it..otherwise i can just sell it here or ebay if i don't like it.

If you can just pull the line out and the backlash goes away..you have a very minimal overrun..basically means you are catching it before you have a worst one.If you have a bad one raul's remedy would probably be needed.So far i've only had to do raul's way 2 times.My worst ones was hitting a thick weed or a small tree branch behind me trying to cast.I never stopped the spool turning,by that time i could only save maybe 1/8 of line on my spool...lol

Anybody have this reel?This reel is getting great reviews just about everywhere that selling them.I'm considering on buying one soon.Quantum gets a bad name by alot of people for being cheap,but this reel seems anything but cheap and seems to have a great price tag for the reviews it gets.

Why is it i'm the only one who hates senkos/stickbaits? For the life of me i can't catch anything over dink size and rarely catch "one" unless i fish it for 3 hours straight moving from spot to spot.I've read on them,watch short youtube films and practice the dang thing for weeks on. And still nothing to show for it. Give me a Jig and a trailer and i'll start reeling in them fish. I'm about ready to go on a trip to one of you guys and see how these senkos/stickbaits actually catch fish.I really want to learn...

Honestly i almost left myself when somebody mentioned or hinted you gotta have more post counts to be respected in one topic.Just ignore it....i been on far too many internet boards fishing and non fishing related.Believe me if i wanted to i could start an internet war...done it back in my stupid days. For some reason people nowadays get jealous when they don't get the attention other people get. Sometimes people get picked on because they come off cocky sometimes..even when it's was just meant to be all fun and games. Gotta becareful sometimes with newer members. It's all about showing respect,doesn't matter who gives it first,nobody is above nobody.

Anybody fish these?Got my 3rd one this year today...went 26".Anybody who says these fish can't fight gotta be crazy.It almost pulled me in the water on the hook set.I wasn't expecting it to get my jig and trailer.

Mine told me the baitmonkey is grounded from coming to the house for awhile.He's only welcome when i worked overtime.

That's gonna be a hard one to top... Didn't happen to me,but some carper got his rod pulled in and he stripped down to his thong boxers(not lieing!) and went after his rod.I couldn't stop laughing after he did.A little later he came up to me and showed me this 3 foot long bowfin fish and my eyes got big.I was like dude,that's why it's not a good idea to strip and swim in these waters...look at those teeths.He had no clue what it was.

I haven't been to erie or st clair's yet...has alot to do with the gas prices.Starting to look better though...lake erie trip is planned next weekend if i don't have to work.

i catch with this lure all the time last year.I retrived,stop and let it flutter down,retrive,stop and let it flutter down(repeat till you get a bite).The Blade basically does all the work for you. i find it to work best around a school of shads or baitfish.

Fish a jig seriously though I like avid #5......

I ain't gave up on a senkos...but it sure ain't my confidence bait. Just because it doesn't work for me,i know they ain't bad lures.I seen and heard them work for others on here. Muddy if i was close around i'd show you how to work a jig and you could teach me what or why i can't catch much on a senko. I really don't think there's such thing as a bad lure or overrated for everybody...because somebody out there has it and loves it and can catch fish with it. I seen guys swear by the hydro lure or the banjo minnow.
