Nothing Skunked out twice now.I completely lost the bass...going to a different part of the lake now tomorrow.

Anybody you know that fish?Sounds like kids since all they took were reels,rods and tackle.I'd be suspicious of anybody you talked to about fishing around your house. Sorry to hear man.

Surprisingly i'm gonna say my is about 2# average...got my first 5# 2 weeks ago.I use big bait targeting bigger bass.I don't catch as many either though.I've caught maybe 20(give or take a few extra) all this year.I'm only a weekend fisherman from the bank. So in 4 hours of fishing i'll catch 1 or 2 or skunk out occasionally. I need to fish with catt...those numbers are impressive!

There's nothing to it.You can rig it T-rig like a senko with a bullet weight or weightless.If the water has a faster moving current i like to use 3/8 or 1/2 oz weight.In still water i go weightless. I generally work it like a jig popping it off the bottom every few seconds.Gotta let the fish tell you how slow or fast they want it.With fall bite pretty close here they will start getting aggressive..so for me i'll be popping it off the bottom a little bit faster. I'm even done them with stand up heads and jigs without the skirts on them....Skys the limit on how you can fish these things. Smallmouths,largemouths and carps like these here.These things are my favorite to use on smallmouths bass here.

I've caught quite a few 2#'ers 3 to 5 feets away from the me & bank tossing a lure 20-30 feets and working it in.I fish them really slow(most of the time anyways)...even deadsticking i get bites.There are times where i have the jig in the water for a good five minutes working it and get bites.That jig has to go pass timber,weed beds,rocks and structures of whatever they may be provides a housing for a fish.You are capable of getting a bite till that lure is out of the water...that's my motto.I've seen fish strike a lure 1 foot away from the bank in shallow stain water(scared the crap outta me).

I don't have any luck with worms except today...berkley power worm tequila sunrise.I'm buying the shelf out of that worm @ walmart tomorrow...lol

Agree 100% and couldn't have said it better. My girl uses obsessed and fishing to describe me....Be honest i don't think i'm that bad IMO.Or it's just the fact i'm denying my addiction. :-?

They can get a little over 3 pounds and around 16-20 inches.They grow extremely fast.

I had that as a pet a few years back that looks exactly like yours.....really cool fish and are very aggressive.They will bite everything.

Depends....i rarely do though.I'm the only one who will eat fish in this house.My girl and kid hates fish for some reason...but yet they'll eat fish sticks that can be brought in stores...go figure.

This is why i spool myself...when i go to cabela's to get a reel and line they ask me if i want it spooled free,i tell them nope.They seem to be mad when i tell them that....lol Plus i enjoy spooling my own reels...I didn't know you could blow a reel out. I use the cheap berkley spooling station you get for like $20...works great for me.haven't had a problem with it yet.

One time the bait monkey made me buy the hydro lure then laughed at me. I haven't tried them yet... ;D

i made the mistake of starting out and put them all together...for the life of me i don't know which ones are which now.

i can see it now...a bunch of guys out there fishing orange rods...lol I'm tempt to try one myself...

Jeez....i might have to get one of these.I like to move around alot. I have the gander mountain small tackle bag(holds 4 3600 box) right now with a BPS binder for plastic...it's all i carry on me.Even carry that much and moving around starts to become a hassle after an hour or 2.

I've had some luck on their grass jigs,however i like putting craw trailers on. I get hung up more on football jigs myself.They are great jigs though...don't give up too fast on them.

I wish i have the lifetime license.Don't know if they offer it here...never checked yet. As for the guy without one by you.Report him...let him know somebody's watching his arse. 2 weeks ago a group of guys and kids were fishing,i asked how they felt about the license raise(my way of starting a convo and see if they are fishing legally) and they answered "don't have one,don't need one and nobody can tell me i gotta have one".As i was leaving, I see the game warden over at a gas stationed stopped by and gave him the location and detail.I hope he got them. It's up to us to protect our wildlife as well,game wardens can't see everything.

If they ask i'll tell them.I'm starting to agree more and more about knowing the rules before you fish.Just like most hunters know the rules of hunting around here.Now i have given a few bass away of legal limit...when i do i let them know this is a legal size. I run into them kinds of people everytime i fish.Alot of times i try to just stay away from the public,it's like everytime i catch something i get the "are you gonna keep it?'' It's got me itching for a boat now.

i agree with catt here however it still smarts when a bass takes your zara puppy and wrapps it around a brush pile i tried for over 40 mintes to get that puppy and bass which i was fishing from the bank. rest assured i'll get another zara puppy (i hope) and i will extract due revenge Over 40 minutes? Sure you ain't making that up a little? I got about 5 minutes of patience before i say "screw it" and break off.
