3pm-8pm here,parks usally close by dark...so i wouldn't know how night fishing is here. :-/

Alot of times i get out there around 3pm and have to be off lake by dark.I fish the banks as well,i always find around 6pm to be the most active time for fishing.

Well least there's an even bigger one in there according to him...Kinda sad to see it mounted as well.It's his choice as well,for fishing that lake for 40 years i say he deserves it.

I like to palm my baitcaster with my pointing finger lightly touching the line as i reel in any slack...I can feel any twitches i come across.Usually if a fish takes your lure,your line will be swimming faster or be doing something odd,rather than just drifting in current or wind.

Other than the smell,berkley has really impressed me with their line of products lately.To be honest i'm catching fish with just about everything they have coming out as far as bass products goes. I usually have my bags stored in an airtight container till I'm ready to go to the lake.I'll take them out and put them in my binder.I don't mind the smell on my hands..once i start catching fish the fish smell takes over. ;D

I love weird looking baits...i always have good luck with them. knowing me if i brought them i'd be fishing them. ;D

You are 21,Live it to the fullest! Once you get married have kids and settle down it all stops....lol Sometimes i think it's better to stay single...no responsibility and pretty much can do and spend on whatever you want as long as your other bills are getting paid. man,I sure wish i was 21 again.

T-rigged with a 3/8oz weight bounce it off the bottom.Speed varys on the fish.Sometimes they want it slow other times they want that fast action.I usally start out slow and work from there.Works best when thrown in covers like tree stumps,rocks or drop offs.

I fish green pumpkin in any water color...works for everything.haha Usally the rule of thumb is lighter color for clear water and darker colors for stain/murky waters. As for which lure to use,gonna have to let the fish tell you.

75% of the time my color is anything green or brown skirted jig in 3/8 oz.I think 3/8 oz falls the best where i fish.If the water is really calm and warm i'll go to a 1/4 slow falling seems to work better in the dog days of warm and no wind.You can even put a wooly bug by yum(i know walmart sells these) as a trailer.Any weird kreature baits work.I like to try and keep the trailers fat and short. My favorite jigs are made by guy joe. I always throw my bait on shoreline and raise my rod and watch what my lure is doing.This way i know what my lure is doing when i cast out.If you see what it's doing i think you have a better understanding how to work that bait.Some baits require little or no movement sometimes.Like somebody mentioned.So everytime i buy a new jig or trailer i pay close attention to what it does for the first time.Works like a charm for me.

Bring a ruler and get the girth as well.Girth is one of the main factors in guessing weight of fish as well.Those cheap rope rulers work good.

I'm having some good luck on kreature baits..in green or brown color Congrats on your first smallie,they are some strong fighters and definely my favorite to fish.

90% of my bigger fish are coming out of those nasty weeds....*turns on a light bulb in head*.

There are times it won't even load for me on cable connection....I alway keep my fingers cross it'll load.i also thought my computer was going slow until i realize every other site was working great.

Just happened to me sunday for the first time.I casted a jig which went between a tree limb(with a bunch of small lures up there) landed in the water after going through the tree.as i was about ready to give it a yank i get a power tug and my line goes swimming,if it wasn't for whatever fish that took my line my lure would probably be stuck in that tree...that fish literally pulled my line right out of that tree branch.He got off when i gave him slack by mistake,so i have no clue what fish or how big it was.

I'm very impressed lately,the last 3 weekends the boaters and jet skiiers at the lake i fish have been really nice and respectful.I do see a few idiots now and then...you kinda just get used to them.I'm expecting the idiots on the 4th of july...i plan to go earlier in the day before it becomes bad out there by afternoon. Only once did i get mad when somebody wake with their boaters pass a wading area....i can't swim so if i woulda got taken in by the waves and current i'd be dead.Me and along with about 4 or 5 other guys wading started yelling and one guy actually had a pole rigged with a HUGH weight on it and tossed it directly toward the idiots in the boat(which i don't recommand to do).Very scary situation right there. I wave "HI" to boaters every time i go out there...long as they are respectful i don't have a problem with them. Alot of times they'll tell me if they see a school of fish from where they are at...which is NEAT. 8-) People have to understand it's a "public" lake and as long as all the rules are being followed by the boaters they just have to get used to boaters and jet skiiers.they are there to have fun just like we do.

man,i wanna fish St.Clairs so bad...i alway hear how great their bass fishing is there.

In the heat of the summer go with a deeper lure,all my catchs today were in shaded trees.Jigs work exceptional well when the fish go deep.

If it did all i have to tell my girl is i'm going to work out....she'd let me go everyday...lol

If it wasn't for boards and sites like this one,i'd still be fishing with live worms and bobbers catching nothing but dinks.Probably falling asleep out there on the lake as well.
