  1. Yup under the name "repo man".....I've been buying them out every chance i get....I'm stocking up on these things. I'm a big fan of paycheck baits as of lately.
  2. I see you spend more money on lures than you do on food. ;D Ramen noodles=poor people's food. Don't feel bad I got 3 boxes too.....Plus a couple of bags of egg noodles.
  3. I'm more jealous that you have open water...It's all Ice here... ;D
  4. I bet you it's the same guys doing it every time too.If it's happening a lot then more than likely it's the same people doing it.
  5. Congrats!
  6. Sorry for your family's lost. :'(
  7. You know I could have used this advice earlier... ;D I don't know why I didn't think of that.Ahhh well....No biggie...
  8. They catch just about anything that swims. Yes they do work.
  9. Flint is the armpit of the state and possibly the country IMO. The best part of it is when you see the sign that says "Leaving Flint City limits" Grimlin I am originally from Cincinnati but left when my job forced me to leave. Hunting, fishing, and outdoorsman part of Michigan = A Job force, work ethic, etc. = F yeah, jobs right now stink here. Michigan has the highest population lost right now, which really isn't all that surprising, but it still hurts because we are losing some good people here. I came extremely close to going back to Texas when i was laid off without any hopes of finding another job back in 09'.
  10. Flick'n is basically slightly shaking your rod. action will look like this...
  11. I do it when the fish are aggressively feeding on the shad above. I skip it right over the pool of shad, then let it slowly sink down.Hang on because the bite is usually hard hitting. It gets the shad in a frenzy when you skip on top of them...anything below them see it and start watching for an injured baitfish falling down.
  12. They just reduced our fishing section by almost 75%. It's all garbage now....I'm gonna head over to the other one maybe next week and if that one is gone too I'm tearing up my dick's cards....They completely ruined the fishing section. Rage tails were 3.97 and discontinued from that store. If they were $2.00 I would have brought em' all out...but $4.00 a bag just didn't appeal as "savings" to me.They didn't even have any Yum products for me to stock up on either....nothing was even there anymore. I brought nothing. Highly disappointed. :-/
  13. Joe S. got me hooked on them. Jigs do catch bigger bass, but they require more patience to fish as well as say a spinnerbait or crankbait. I've followed this advice from Joe very seriously and this is exactly how I started out.
  14. That's the best thing about custom jig makers, they let you have more options. I say leave it as an "Option" if you can.
  15. Got a feeling it's gonna be a close game again. Rogers was on fire yesterday....hell the entire team was...If they play like this against the bears,Chicago doesn't stand a chance. I watch the game today and Chicago's field looks like crap. Wonder if it's gonna play against the packers. That's the only thing I'm concerned about. Favre who? ;D
  16. and Michigan's population continues to dwindle down.....
  17. Unexpected......I didn't see this coming. Still don't see em' beating the steelers though....
  18. He forgot the Honey....
  19. I like your picks. Those ribbed craws look great! I wish I went. Oh wells there's always next year. PS was Mizmo baits there again this year?
  20. Scoring 31 points sure seems like a convincing way to win. :-/ Not every game is gonna be a blow out.
  21. My mother in law wraps up ham slices/cream cheese/green onion and sticks tooth picks in set of 4 and cuts them up. They make excellence appetizers during the holidays.
  22. Green bay is becoming a serious contender for the superbowl now if they keep playing like they did last night.
  23. One of my favorites! I get a chuckle out of reading it every time.
  24. I do pretty well on the Luck-E strike jogger worms.Usually found in Walmart pretty cheap.Funny thing is my wife and kid picked them up for my birthday one year. Those things work...seeing how cheap they really are.
  25. I had a hard time with stick bait worms when first starting out.Like you I fished a lot of "moving" baits was was used to chucking and winding in. Stick baits you got to train yourself to slow down....way down. Good way to get started, use road warrior's advice.Don't be afraid to let that worm/stickbait sit in one spot for a little bit. Requires a little bit of patience. I'm trying to do a little more shakey head fishing and reapply the drop shot again(haven't done that in awhile for some strange reason). My main goal is to not get hurt and fish all the way through the season.I broke my wrist last year...right at the peak fishing time. :'( I'm just gonna have fun this season regardless what I do.
