Yep,had to take baby steps with mine as well. No shame in starting it slow. I was so used to spinning gear it was nuts. I almost wanted to quit myself. Set your brakes a little bit higher and the cast control knob just a tad tighter. 20-30 feet cast in the back yard a few hundred times till you train that thumb.

I use the same pair of scissors they use for cutting off casts/bandages.You can find them for around $5. I'm on the 3rd season on mine and it still ain't showing any signs of wear.It cuts braid like butter. I actually found mine at the shore,was probably left by carp fishermen who use braid around here a lot.

Just say "no offense,but dude you need to take care of that breath." Offer gum or mint helps too. I had to tell one guy he stunk really badly because my supervisor(woman) was scared to do it.He actually thanked me and we joked we gotta smell good for the ladies in the place.LOL

Does anybody have a picture(I turned it into my wallpaper for computer) of a smallmouth bass about to eat a crawfish?Kinda looks like a water art but very realistic drawing. I used to have this wallpaper I found on yahoo before I lost everything last year and now I can't find it anymore.I been searching for the past 2 weeks on various sites and cannot find it.Does somebody by any chance have the same picture I'm thinking of saved as well? Much appreciated if somebody knows where I can get it again.

There's a lot of truth in that.I brought my mom an airline ticket last year I found them for 250 from TX to MI..I waited a month for some stupid reason and ended up paying 330.Sooner you buy them the cheaper they'll be. I paid 650 for the 3 of us to fly down to TX from Michigan 2-3 years back.Came roughly just under 200 per person.I had them on a 5 month advance before the trip.It pays to save the earlier you can book and get your tickets.Those deals are still to be had...you got to look and book early. Just to add this is round trip.

I stay close to home....That what gas prices will do to me.

We all do it for the enjoyment obviously . Guess I should have re-phrased the question to who really inspires you do better. Indeed,I'm gonna go with myself as well.For pure enjoyment as of course in trying to catch more and bigger fish. If we didn't want to get better we wouldn't be reading this website or message board for advice now would we?

I've yet to encounter a problem with my accurists.I consider them great reels.I got rid of my first one and highly regretted it.Ended up re-buying it again.

There's a good amount of current flowing through that river. If you are using bottom contact lures be prepared to bring "extras"....because you will lose a bunch. I did well on tubes,drop shot and weightless worms. As far as which spots to fish I can't help you there...My buddy did the boat navigating.

Many of my hardbaits collect dust for whatever reason if i don't catch anything on them. I don't intentionally collect them but they do end up that way sometimes. I rarely(never) sell my baits.If i don't want a bait anymore and certain I don't need it I'll give it away to my buddy and he'll manage to lose it to a Pike somehow.He doesn't fish for pikes but the pikes sure like finding him. I laugh every time he catches one.

I prefer Crawfish. I kinda make my own.

It depends on the person.I've only heard one horror story involving a pit bull that turned on a very good owner.The Pit actually killed it's owner.For whatever reason it turned. Out of that one story I know hundreds more who owned Pits never got bit and always hear they are very gentle.It's just the reputation that they build very quickly.Unforutaely most of the time you see thugs walking those dogs training them like that. I love Rottweiler myself another dog that gets a nasty reputation.....I have a few favor breeds of dogs. I've gotten bitten by poodles and chihuahuas....Nasty little dogs if you asked me...the smaller the dog the nastier the attitude they can have.I also had a cockapoo growing up and he was very,very friendly,but get on his wrong side and that dog would snip and growl.

No doubt! I don't drive in the left lane at all during snow. I stay in the right lane and allow people who can drive faster in the stuff than i can to be able to pass me. Surprisingly as slow as I drive most people just stay behind me driving just as slow as I do. ;D It makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only one who's scared stupid in driving the "bad" stuff. ;D

It depends on the seller but also depends also a lot on the availability of certain colors. Megabass used to paint particular color schemes of certain colors and patterns and they made only for one year, to the point that their lures had the year painted on the lure, those limited run colors and patterns make them more desirable ( for collectors ) and boost the price. Other colors were painted on more baits and year after year so those are cheaper. For example: Cicada, that color was painted about .... 3 years ago ? you guyz in 17 year cicada territory know better than I, when was it ? So that Cicada pattern is a limited run ( I wouldn 't fish it ). Other colors seem particularily scarce, Tonosama Frog ( the one RW has ) is one of them, it 's not a limited run but I don 't think they paint a lot of them. So I just brought a lure I probably won't find again if i needed another one?

Been wanting to try one of those Pop Max for a long,long time now. Every time I walk into the mom and pop's store and pick it up I end up changing my mind. That $28 price tag just seems to dang steep.Been waiting for one to pop up in the flea market....but that hasn't happened yet that I've seen.

Shimano doesn't participate in the Bass Pro Shop reel trade in.So you won't be able to get a shimano with a reel trade in.I believe Abu Garcia,Quantum and Daiwa does.

$50 on paycheck transporter frogs $50 on CLU jigs ;D I haven't had the itch to buy much this winter....Been too busy saving up and figuring out which tattoos to get.
