If it was me I'd go with a Curado 150 m or mgl paired to a Megabass levante perfect pitch. It's a 7'2" heavy but has a soft tip to it with plenty of backbone lower. It's extremely versatile great for jigs, T rigs, light frogging, spinnerbaits, swimjigs, 6inch mag drafts, even bigger top waters, and so much more. I even threw a 1/4oz ned+nedboosa on mine when I was pond hopping with it as my only rod I had with me. Youtube it there's plenty of videos on there talking about it's versatility

If I had to choose between those 2 rods I'd go with a feather. But like others have said for that reel I'd get a nicer rod. I have my metaniums paired up to Megabass destroyer madbull and a poison adrena and they are perfect in my opinion.

I own 2 and they are great wouldn't hesitate grabbing another

For tight quarters I use a Megabass destroyer madbull. In open water I use a Megabass orochi XX launcher.

Had mine a couple months now paired to a GLX 844 MBR and I absolutely love it. Still think my Metaniums are slightly better but this is a close second.

Sierra in my opinion is a better rod and better looking as well. The 734 in particular is a great versatile rod I'd recommend to anyone.

If it was me and specifically for cranking I'd get a Bantam

That's reassuring. I've heard from a lot of people that use braid to leader and never had any issues but with my luck I always worry.

Ya I thought about "the one" but the AGS guides worry me as I will be using braid to leader. Ill have to take a look at the kistler I've heard good things about them but never used one. The legend X2 look great and I've heard nothing but great things about them.

Appreciate all the help from everyone. Made the first order have a GLX 844 MBR, P5 Madbull, and Went with a Poison Adrena 610m on the way. Got one metanium mgl already and another one on the way along with a Zillion TW HD. So as the line up sits right now it will be. Levante Shakeyhead/ Tatula MQ LT Poison Adrena 610M/ Metanium MGL P5 Madbull/ Metanium MGL GLX 844 MBR/ Zillion TW HD Orochi XX Launcher/ Curado 200m Levante Leviathan/ Curado 300k Phenix Classic BFS/ Curado BFS But I'm still trying to decide on a versatile spinning rod to upgrade to from the shakeyhead. So any opinions would be appreciated. Considering 852 JWR, 842 SJR, 822 DSR, P5 addermine, also considering St. Croix and Great lakes finesse rods. But open to other suggestions outside of those.

Looks like the Casting side is pretty similar to what they already had but doubled the spinning
