mountain bike?
Found the bike I'm getting. It's a used Raleigh M80. It may be used, but this thing is in perfect shape. Not a scratch on it. I don't think it's even been on the road, let alone off road. It's got an okay starter shock, a rock shox M80. I'll probably upgrade this at some point. What really sold me on the bike was the fact that everything had Deore everything on it. It's the only bike I've seen in my price range with this upgrade. Thanks for everybody's help

I've been reading a whole bunch on this forum. It's been very helpful.- mountain bike?
That felt bike I've been looking at has disc brakes, and a locking front shock. It's the only bike in that price range that seems to have both of those options. I can get a specialized hardrock with disc brakes for about 460, but no lock out.....the Felt really seems to be the best deal I can find- mountain bike?
I've also been looking at a Felt q520. It seems to be a pretty set up for a price of $400. Still going to keep my eye on the used market as well- mountain bike?
Rootbeer. I live in Peterborough NH. Thanks for all the advice guys. I've checked out a couple of Bike shops in my area, and truthfully the staff has been less then helpful. I've been looking primarily specialized and Jamis. I like Giants as well but no one around here seems to sell them. I'm also thinking of buying used on craigslist. I know I could get alot more bike for my money, but I also know that there is a risk of getting a lemon.- mountain bike?
Hey guys. I'm looking to getting into mountain biking and wondered if anyone here has any good advice on where to start. I'm really looking just to ride some dirt and woods trails. I'm not looking for anything really complicated. What's a good beginner bike to start with? And what price range am I looking at. I want to get into it as cheap as possible but I don't want a piece of junk either.- Kinda sad in a way...
I heard about this on the radio. Really does feel like the state will be losing part of it's identity.- paintball
I played for woodsball for years, until I discovered airsoft. With no air and cheaper ammo it was just a better financial decision then paintball for me. Now I don't have time for either, but I definitely miss it.- NH Get Together 2- The Sequel
Thanks guys. I really had a great time meeting everyone. Can't wait to do it again. Due to many obligations I'll be taking the next week or two off of from fishing....man is it killing me already- NH get together
I've heard good things about it but never fished it. Good luck!- NH get together
We were considering hopkington but were afraid that it would be to small. It tends to be pretty busy and with all our boats we thought it might be overcrowded. That is where we held the first get together this year- Anyone have any luck in SOUTHERN NH yet?
Nice Job Jay. I hope you get that trolling motor problem fixed soon. Good luck Shane. I think I'm going to head out and do some float tubing this week at some point. i haven't had the float tube out all year and am itching for a simple day on the water- NH get together
Some of the NH guys got together for some fun fishing and bragging rights. Me and my buddy Dunphy decided to class it up a bit, with our own fishing company...Angler's Inc. With temps in the 90's we soon regretted our choice of clothing. It was a tough day without many bites for anybody. But we all still had a blast. Enjoy the stupidity ;D- anyone here fish using bill murphys "stitching" method
Didn't mean to hijack the thread. Maybe I should clarify. My favorite so called "search bait" is a spinner bait. However I do tend to fish jigs pretty fast. Especially with visible cover, lillypads, milfoil ect. I personally have a hard time slowing down for 15 minute casts. I tend to fish with a cast, a few hops, and then I reel in and cast again to another target. I do think that I need to slow down in some situations.- NH Get Together 2- The Sequel
Here's a vid my buddy Dunphy made of Angler's Inc at the get together. We used the pics everyone put up on the thread. Hope that was cool with everyone. http://www.youtube.com/user/Dunterdunt#p/a/u/0/DTw2MtZKBn0 Enjoy!- anyone here fish using bill murphys "stitching" method
Catt, I'm trying to work on slowing my presentations down. I know I fish a jig to fast. My question is how do you cover water if your fishing this slowly? or is this a presentation that you use once you know you are on or around the fish?- Berkley Sensation
It's one of my favorite lines. I use it on a couple of my spinning reels and have had no problems with it- NH Get Together 2- The Sequel
Good to meet everyone in person. Today was probably one of the toughest days I've had all year. Here was our big fish of the day. 3lbs 5oz and a couple of shots of everyone hanging out- NH Get Together 2- The Sequel
Yup, south end. it's the down by the covered bridge. You can launch a canoe on the north end on 202, but there is no real boat launch there- NH Get Together 2- The Sequel
Looks good. My buddy Dunphy is fishing with me and we'll be there at 8- NH Get Together 2- The Sequel
Also Powdermill is only a few minutes away from my house. If people want to do a barbaque or something afterward we can....just let me know- NH Get Together 2- The Sequel
Sounds good Jay. I'll bring trophies, since I have them anyway. We can give them out for most fish, or biggest fish or something. We'll just go by the honor system since it's just more of a gag then anything- Anyone have any luck in SOUTHERN NH yet?
No problem Jay. It was a good morning and a nice day. It gave me the afternoon to get some stuff done around the house, so at least my wife was happy- spinner baits and trailers?
Never used a trailer. Always use a trailer hook. I caught my largest bass ever on a trailer hook. I may have caught it without one, but why take the risk? I don't see any disadvantage in a trailer hook. it's seems to be just as weedless with a better chance of hooking up - mountain bike?
