  1. here's the 5 lber and the 3lb 6oz my Dad caught and the 3lb 6oz my Dad caught
  2. Went out Thursday with my Dad. Caught my largest bass of the year so far. 5lbs 2oz. My Dad got a 3lb 6oz bass as well. Very windy and almost everything was on spinnerbaits. My overall size average has improved dramatically so far this year over last year, but I haven't been able to break the 5lb barrier until last week. I have a quick vid I'll try and post sometime later
  3. Really Jay, I'll fish wherever you decide to go. let's just pick a lake and time to meet. Franklin Pierce, Hopkington, Powdermill, all of them are fine by me. My only real concern would be if I had to drive a couple of hours, and so far every lake is within an hour of me, so that's fine.
  4. Never been there either. I've driven by it a couple of times, and have been meaning to take a boat out there at some point
  5. I agree with the idea, but my concern is having everyone show up at a lake that no one has been to before and finding out there's a bad ramp, no parking, or even just bad fishing. The one good thing about fishing a lake that at least one of us has been too is that we can at least know what to expect. I'd still like to do one of these on Powdermill sometime, but it has the same problem as Hopkinton...shallow dangerous spots for props.
  6. Either Hopkington or Franklin Pierce is fine by me. Franklin Pierce has a great launch....are we all cool to fish there Jay without being down residents? I don't have an open seat. A friend from work will be fishing with me. Also I still have all of those trophies I made for the tourney that got cancelled last year....we could give them out for biggest fish by lenght or something. No money involved but just for fun. Hopkington does have hidden stumps, but really only within the areas of fallen timber. If your motoring through there and not trolling your really asking for a torn up prop
  7. Friday is good for me. Hopkington or Fanklin pierce are fine by me, either way
  8. Do you know the individual weights for each fish? The largest I've seen out of there was 6lbs 1oz, and it's nice to there are ones that are even bigger in there.
  9. I've got one as a back-up jig rod. I like it and have never had any problems with it
  10. 75% plastics if we are counting jig and pig as well. Other then that it's spinnerbaits, top water, or a jerk bait. I very rarely crank in the waters I have around here, just to many weeds.
  11. I put the trolling motor on the front, but you have to build a keel or some sort for the back, and mount that so you just don't spin around all the time. Otherwise mount it on the back. And yes you can stand up in the 8 or the 10. They are very stable. They just look like floating suitcases
  12. Welcome.
  13. Caught a couple with my Dad today at the river. Only fished for about an hour. Jay...I'm glad to see that Silver finally started working. Looks like we were right and that place is a couple weeks behind everything else we fish.
  14. I never did make a dolly for mine. If there wasn't a ramp I'd just carry it. Although one time i did push it down railroad tracks for a half a mile to fish a secluded lake. Turns out it really wasn't worth the effort ;D

I'm a huge Celtics fan but really didn't mind the Celts losing. They played a great series. It was some of the most enjoyable basketball to watch I've seen in a long time. The Lakers came out on top at the end, but watching two teams really battle is what it's all about
  16. I had one of these for a couple of years and I gave it to my Dad when I upgraded to boats. I really liked the little pelican. I had the 10 foot model but had no problem using an anchor on the handles. I also replaced the seats with regular padded boat seats. Just a few screws to switch. hope this helps
  17. Way to get'em Wagn. What size trolling motor do you have for your tracker? I'm thinking of getting a 54 or 70. I have a 43 MG now. What do you think? I honestly can't remember, a 45 or something I think. I'm not at home right now or I'd check. Honestly I'd go with the biggest you can afford. The one thing I wish my boat had was a more powerful trolling motor. Fmoore....awesome boat. I love that your dog fishes with you. I'm trying to train mine do to that but she just gets too hyper.
  18. I couldn't figure it out till I googled it either.
  19. So how does that work if you want to bring a boat. is there a place to launch and leave your trailer while your on the island camp sites? Looks really cool. I might try that place this summer
  20. 15 bass today. Everything on spinnerbaits. The largest was 3lbs even. with 3 others between 2.5 and 3lbs. Tough day to control the boat because it was so windy. But turned out to be a really good bite
  21. Sounds like an awesome trip!
