  1. You have to also remember that the pros have more experience then probably double your age. Also, if your using any tv fishing host like Bill Dance, or Hank Parker, the fish they catch are usaully durring a 2-3 day period, but makes it look like one outing. Good luck buddy. ROCK ON. Hehe. James
  2. Ive always had luck with a Zoom Trick Bubblegum worm, rigging it wacky. Works really well. Havent got any luck on rigging it texas style, but the wacky seems to work really nice. The pink bubblegum has to be my favorite wrom of all. James
  3. I caught a big channel cat on a top water pop-r. It was pretty strange! James
  4. I was fishing in a small creek, and a crayfish bit my lure and got it. Also caught a beaver. Wasnt fun, i felt pretty bad afterwords. James
  5. Switch baits/lures. I dont know how long a fish's memory is, but I know its not very long. Ive had alot of luck with a medium sized topwater torpedo. Works really well on small ponds. Good luck! James
  6. Well, you can look at it like this... If your not fishing alone, you have more chance to catch a fish, and also you dont have to listen to complaints on those bad days... When I fish alone, which is all the time, I concentrate on the water and move around the lake/pond alot, so I plan my steps ahead. Or if im fishing for catfish, I just talk to my dog haha. Good luck!
  7. Didnt catch a single one last night, nor did I even get a strike. Going to try and go out tonight, its a little bit warmer. Thanks guys!
  8. Hey everyone, I am supposed to go fishing today, and its 60 degrees right now, and the high says 70. Is this good bass fishing weather? It is sunny, and there are scattered clowds everywhere. Let me know please!! Thanks everyone! -James :-/

  10. Hello everyone, My name is James and im 16 years old. I know that there is a thread for young anglers, but I wanted to post a topic here where there will be more serious and more advanced/experinced anglers. All my life I have fished for crappie, bluegill, and carp out of the local creek. I used to live in Michigan and now moved down to St Louis Missouri. My mom has an old classmate down here that is an experinced bass angler who got me into the whole Bass fishing experince. The other day I went out and bought a ton of lures. I got some topwaters, minnows, plastic worms, torpedos, spinners, jigs, and the basics. I also have an Ugly Stick Heavy rod with a Bill Dance Quantum spinning reel, with 8lb test line. My question is, is there anyone out here who can give me any tips about bass fishing. I have been reading other topics and threads, but just coudnt really answer all of my questions. I have been watching Stacey King's videos, and have watched Bill Dance for numerous years on television. Help please! I want to be a good angler. I have my heart set to be one, I just need the push and the tips! Thanks a bunch! -James
  11. I was just looking to post the same thread to see if anyone has fished in BW on here. I live in Maplewood which is just outside of St Louis and can't seem to find a good lake or pond near by that has nice fish. I have not tried Busch yet, but looking to tomorrow. From the looks of the map, lake 33 is nice and big, and has all typed of fish. Altho, there might be alot of people there, it being the biggest lake and all. I am fairly new to Bass Fishing. I have spent all my life trying to catch bluegill and crappie more than Bass. I just moved to Missouri about a month ago from Battle Creek, Michiga, where they make cereal lol. They had nice lakes up there. I just cant seem to find a nice lake nearby that has nice fish. Any suggestions? Thanks! -James
