  1. Welcome! I'm kinda new here too, and I love this place.
  2. I was going to throw a piece of a funyun out and see what would happen a few weeks ago. I'm going to try it sunday and see what happens.
  3. Going to try senko sometime this weekend, and some of the lures I bought that I don't even know how to use yet. Will post a reply with results.
  4. I never saw anyone use the wacky rig, and he outfished me! He did buy me a bag of senko's so hopefully sunday I can try them out.
  5. The highlight of the day (besides the bass we caught) was that Osprey flying overhead, fish in talon! Never seen one with a fish before, it was pretty impressive. And as my brother already said, they are not common here at all.
  6. A co-worker and I started it yesterday, I almost quit at #20 :'( Up to 38 now, it sucks but it is fun!

  8. Not sure if this is the proper place to post an introduction, but here I go. Last summer on numerous occasions my brother asked me to go fishing with him. I would always decline because I thought it was boring . To be honest the only fishing I had ever done before was as a child, and all I can recall was watching bobbers and catching bluegill. Fast forward 20 years and I finally give in and go fishing with my brother, sometime in early September 2006 we went bass fishing. I didn't catch a fish that first time, the next weekend I caught my first bass. It was small, but it was my first bass! My birthday was the next week and my brother got me a rod and reel. I was hooked (literally.) I used to spend my free time at the computer playing online games, or watching sports on TV. Now all I think about is the lake, and fishing. The wildlife, waves crashing the shoreline, I forget about my job and just relax into a calm. I really enjoy it and it's what I look forward to doing. I never would have thought I would like it so much, or that it would become my new hobby. My brother and I catch and release every fish we catch, I've read a few posts here on the topic. I am new and know next to nothing about bass populations on lakes and what to do. Personally I have no desire to kill any fish, we just put them back and keep fishing. I will have probably have a few questions to ask now and then, will use search to look for answers. Great site and great forums, learned a lot already. Paul
