walkin a creek
I walk Big swan creek around Hohenwald Tn, the water is cool and I catch lots of SM. I use small inline spinners or a rebel crawfish. Ive done pretty well even caught a 3 lb smallie out of there in about 10 in of water.

...so the color red
The red line is opake meaning sunlight can go through it, the hooks are made of metal and reflect or refract (take your pick) so it does not disappear. I tried that line and I didnt like it, it twisted and tangled to easy.

Ideas for getting the hogs in my pond.....
I have been using a Rapala dt-10 crankbait in the bluegill color lately, and it has out fished everyone ive fished with. That particular one dives to 10 feet, but there are other ones that go deeper and shallowere. It will catch anything ive caught stripers, hybrids, LM, SM, crappie, drum, and catfish.

Fish sonar question
I have a hummingbird pirana max 220 for my jon boat, and for $100 it isn't bad. It reads the depth pretty acurately. It is not the portable version like you are looking at but I bought a trolling motor mounted transducer ($70 at bass pro shops) for it and it works fine. If you have any other questions let me know.

Bass eyes bigger than their stomachs
Yeah that happens to me once in a while. I caught a 6-8 inch LM on a 10in powerworm once. They definately arent scared of anything.

Does this sound fair?
I was looking on craiglists.com at the boats for sale here in Nashville, and someone in a neighboring county is offering to rent his boat on his private 10 acre pond for $25 an hour. The post showed pictures of a couple good bass, one looked to be about 4lbs and the other about 6, as well as a nice slab crappie. I have never gone on a guided fishing and was wondering if that seemed fair.

Fishing after death spray?
Seems like I have the exact opposite problem. A golf course pond near my house that used to produce decent size fish, and was clean for the most part, with a little bit of vegetation for the bass to hold to. Now that the golf course has been shut down to restore the civil war battlefield that was originally there, the pond is covered from one end to the other with weeds, its so bad its not even fishable right now. The property is now owned by the city, I wonder if they will spray it?

Cajun Line
I had been using trilene recently but i was having trouble with my line breaking whenever I had a fish on. It wasnt that my knots were coming un-done the line would just break about 18 inches from the hook. So I decided to try the Cajun line this time.

Cajun Line
Has anyone used this line before. I've seen it used on TV, and saw it Wal Mart today and figured I'd give it a try on my spinning reels. Gonna try it out sometime soon. Let me know what you think

Need some advice on fishing a local reservoir
I used to fish a small lake in NY that was almost the same way. It had a few boulders throughout. Anyway try a white/chartruese spinnerbait with silver and gold blades. Fish it in the pockets in and around the lily pads and weeds. Also try a frog on the pads. My favorite is a pop -n- grass frog but there are many different kinds. Texas rigged worms worked well also.

uncle buck bass boat 10 foot
I have a 12 pelican jon boat but it's similar. It's pretty stable when I stand up, but I usually sit. I don't have a trailer so I have to put in the back of my truck. At first it was difficult to load alone but it can be done. But it's great for small ponds and lakes. BA P.S. The rudder is a great idea!
