  1. Yeah I was ticked but atleast I got it out of the way.
  2. Well I got my carrot stix today a 7'3 med/hvy fast action and a curado 200dpv. *** did a superb job shipping both items. there was not a thing wrong with either. My first impression of the carrot stix was.... Whoa! this is unbelievably light! Anyway, I put the carrot stix down to spool up the curado to give it a test run to make sure everything is working properly, before I send out the rebate. And what do I do... I knock my brand new reel off my tailgate, onto the concrete and put 2 nice scratches on it. Man I am ticked about that. What can I do? Its my fault and everything seems to working properly so I will just have to deal with it.

They are the exact same bait. Kinami is Gary Yamamotos son's company the only difference is you get 7 senko's (Flash) instead of 10.

No mine were very supple. I've noticed with his other products they seem to get softer the more they are in water too.
  7. I just picked up a pack of these (black w/ red flake) and was wondering how you guys fish it. I was thinking flippin it t-rigged with pegged bullet weight or as a trailer on a jig. What about just on a football jig?
  8. I bought a curado 200 dpvfrom *** this morning?
  9. I'd find $10 more bucks and definitely buy a Shimano Crucial CB rod. I own 2 of them and for the $$, they are awesome. 7' MH is my choice for deep divers. 7' M action is my trap rod. X2 Totally agree with shadcranker. I have the 7' MH and it is a great rod, I was even going to return it for the non- crankbait series but I fell in love. Definately a good choice!
  10. Ok what knot do you recommend to connect the two lines together?
  11. I just bought a curado 200dpv and a 7'3 Md Hvy carrot stix Ltx that i want to use with braid. I was thinking about getting sufix. I've used it before and really liked it but I do have one question. The first real trip this combo will be going on is to Dale Hollow where the water is gin clear. The locals say you need to use really light line like 4#. Will the fish be able to see say #30 green sufix? Should I try another color like neon fire? What about spiderwire invisi-braid? Or power pro yellow or red? Will red braid disappear like cajun red line? The last time I used the sufix braid, I noticed that my catch rate dropped off significantly as opposed to the reels spooled with clear flouro.
  12. Well I hope they are as good you folks say they are. I just ordered one today hopefully it will come monday. I think they look cool and if im not satisfied I will just sell it on craigslist or on here.
  13. No I live in TN. I guess I will just have to spring for the faster shipping. But free is always better! Oh well d**n bait monkey wants a carrot stix too.
  14. I got the rebate for my curado today and it took about 6 weeks. I was thinking about buying another one from ***, but If i order it tom. I won't have it by the 30th and it has to be postmarked by May 1. What should I do? Sorry didn't mean to hyjack this thread!
  15. My Girlfriend and I as well as my sisters and there boyfriends, and a couple other people are renting a cabin at Dale Hollow in about a month. Mainly to party on the lake, but I plan on fishing in the morning and afternoons. We will be staying at the willow grove marina and I plan to fish nearby. Last year, I fished Iron's creek in the flooded timber with a few lmb on flukes and spinnerbaits. I was told by these fisherman in the cabin nextdoor to fish Goat Island which is only like 500yds out of the marina for smallmouth. So I did and did manage one smallie on a fluke. This year I plan on fishing the same areas, but would like some advice on lures to use. I will use the spinnerbait and flukes since i have confidence in them, but I was also thinking about using DT grubs for the smallies. Can anyone give me some other suggestions? And I can't afford $300 for a guide either.
  16. Yeah well I had a $20 off coupon so i only paid $99. But the $159 flippin sticks and drop shot rods are $139
  17. Thanks Shadcranker, I think I may end up keeping it and just put a different reel on it. I will just use it for traps and cranks. I read your post about your tourney at percy priest... that sucks your pattern died out. I fished there sunday and did alright throwing a trap in muddy water past the hobson pike bridge. Nothing really great one 15in lmb, 3 12-14in lmb, 1 striper, and a 5.5lb carp. I've never seen a carp hit a lure, I thought I had a nice bass til I got it to the boat. What a disappointment.
  18. I went to bass pro today to buy a new rod. Specifically a 7' MH rod for spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and traps to go with my burner reel. Anyway they have crucial rods on sale for $139 except the crankbait series (tc4) which are $129. I was looking at both and thought I had picked the non-crankbait series but after getting home I realized I didnt. So should i take it back or will it be alright for the technique I am wanting to use it for?
  19. It's the new one. It's my favorite!
  20. Thanks for the help guys. I may step it up to a crucial but that will be determined when I am holding both rods in my hand.
  21. Anyone use these rods? I was thinking about picking one up #CPCX70MHB. Would this be a good rod for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits as well as smaller swimbaits? If not please recommend something and try to keep it around $100.
  22. I went to gatlinburg in january, and I was told to fish behind the outlet mall, by the guys at BPS. They said it is a good spot for smallies and trout. I never made it cause it rained, but I did go take a look at the spot while my GF shopped.
  23. I tried putting a rattle in a 4" senko, but it gave the bait a bad action so I took it out. I always put them in a fluke though, I really think it helps.
  24. If I am not fly-fishing I am using a spinning reel. I use a ultra lite reel like a stradic 1000 and an ultra-lite to light action rod, between 5'-6'. My bait of choice is an inline spinner like a mepps, or panther martin. Any color will work but I prefer all chrome or firetiger. Also you can change the treble hook on the back of the spinner to a single hook and add a piece of nightcrawler, sometimes thats the ticket.
  25. I dont trust BPS reviews anyone can type in something there. Hell they probably pay employee's to write good product reviews to boost sales on out of date items.
