  1. Ring fry said it. Factors: * Overcast/Sunny * Water Color * Temp * Type of Vegitation * Wind Im sure there are many more, but these are what I focus on.
  2. Well personally for me i like hybrid Gills. When they spawn and your catching then in the 9inch+range you can taste them before your home. They are easy to fillet. I just use some macgic powder(breading) and deep fry them. I prepare bass the same way, bass will fall apart more but they are still delicious. I never at fish before until last year when my father MADE me try iy, i loved to fish but the smell and taste didnt appeal to me. But basically i shoved it in my mouth and couldnt belive what i was missing! If you know how to prepare it right its absouloutley GREAT!
  3. Welcome John! Have fun on the forums. Im sure you'll learn a thing or two. ;D
  4. I only use a scent to cover up my scent i might put on it. I also love plastics that are heavily salted, because if the bass gets a taste it seems to strike again. Unlike non salted baits. my 2cents.
  5. its all about exposure of the company. They dont care if you catch 10lbers consitantly. You go in to buisness to make a profit, not to lose, and sponsoing someone who maybe 100 people see is out of the question. They want the guys who give the most exposure. If you could find a way to give them that, then you could proably get sponsored.
  6. you cant go wrong with a senko, no matter what color. for dropping it in holes, i prefer a darker senko. i do switch off to a chartreuse while fishing beyond the moss.
  7. i have a lake i fish like that. Let me say i prefer it from a boat, but it is still fishable from the shore. If you can find a hole about 2ft x 2ft or so and are pretty good at casting take a senko (or curly tails) and cast over it while texas rigged no weight. slowly reel so it drops in the hold and very very slowly pick it up and drop. Try wading?
  8. Yes, i will customize it some, I have contacted a rod manufacture, and we have struck a mighty fine deal. I will be signing with them and hopefully will have a few more in the future. Sponsorships helps alot, this sponsorship saved me ALOT on rods. I wouldnt a reel sponsorship, or some glasses, or soem lures. im still looking for them. I will be giving lots of media exposure. to the states of ohio, west virginia, and possibly some virgnia.
  9. yes g3 that sounds even better. Thanks so much.
  10. Yes, i realized i had some spelling and grammar errors. With an aunt as an college englis teacher i shall have her look over it. But thanks guys and i dont mind if you pick on me, its just makes me strive harder. G3 is it alright if i use this? Quote from G3 Fan "I know I am young and I still have a lot to learn about the industry. I feel that with your help and guidance I can take my career to the next level while promoting your products. Some may see my age as a liability but I see it as an asset, I think I can help sell your product to younger anglers. Seeing their idols fish with your product is great but if they see one of their peers fishing tournaments it may inspire them to give it a try."
