Say your tournament fishing. You catch a nice Lm. it has a decent sized fish in its mouth do the tournament directors keep it in or what?

lol... I have a wonderful girlfriend who I've been with since 8th grade.lol... She loves to fish with me and she got her hunting license this year to hunt with me. I think I caught a ''keeper''!

The fewest I've been on the water has been 2 days a week. For the past month or 2 I've been fishing 3-4 tournaments per week. I've got my paychecks budgeted very carefully allowing me to do this.. no eating out, no movies, no fun n games.. strickly fishing. I dream of it, and think of it constantly. What can I say I've been addicted for 17yrs now... ate age 19 fishing is all I wanna do.!

Drop shot. DEEP diving cranks, dt20 maybe. or traps.

70-80ft deep? seems a little to deep 4 a farm pond. Anyway, throw your reaction strike baits. If they aren't working slow it down with finesse plastics or jigs. Have you tried running a frog or something over the weeds.

we have had this problem on the river several times this year. It happens after a long party night or sumthing when were not 100% focused. We throw a lot of tubes. With that said leave more of the hook exposed by pushing the bait back on the hook. This won't be as weedless but its a quick fix to increasing your hookup ratio.

I wouldn't change a thing. I caught my first fish when I was 2.5yrs old. I started tournament fishing when I was 5 and won every shore fishing tournament I entered until age 15 which was around 5-10 tournaments a year. I also won numerous catfish tournaments. I entered the bass masters kids casting tournament and won my regional event and getting 3rd at the state event. At age 16 I got a boat and fished every open I could fishing lakes that I've never fished and didn't make the money once. This was my worst year ever but I didn't give up. I kept fishing, talking to elderly guys, and reading on every site I could. I learned tricks to every technique and every situation with the weather and time of the year. I came back out the following year and put my knowledge to the test. I captured 2 tournament wins and 6 other top 3 finishes. At age 18 I kept reading every article and talking to anyone that would bless me with their knowledge. If they were talking id listen/ease drop. I had a great season with a few wins and 15 top 3 finishes. Picking up sponsors was a great thing at age 17-18 it allowed me to fish more tournaments by saving lots of money on tackle. This current season I have entered numerous tournaments. 30-40 so far this year. With I've recorded several wins with a few seconds and numerous thirds I dnt have the exact numbers with me but I do know I broke th20 top 3 finishes about 6 was ago, and got 3 more in the past 2 weeks. So Im over 50% in the money. My next step is to save enough money to enter larger tournaments. Which is really ruffled with college. But im trying hard. So, with that said. I wouldn't change a thing. Small cranks. and small spinners/rooster tails work amazing for creek smallies.

I personally can say I've been there done that and will do it again. But why throw the rod/reel? its like baseball why throw the bat over a bad call or strikeout? When this happens to me or my buddy we switch positions on the boat [front 2 back] This way you can calm down.

Take the hook off the split ring Mine was a nice size crank bait. I kept the lure together and just sorta covered the hooks with a cloth.

surprisingly mine didn't hurt in my calf. it just took a lot of my partner calling me names n such 2 do it.. then afterwards he said ''i dnt think I could do it''.. lol

ok guys, something everyone should know is how to remove a hook from your skin, after it passed the barb. It does happen and with this trick you can save yourself time and money. This trick really works, It saved me a trip to the ER. 1.] take 5ft of line or so, and wrap it around in 1ft intervals. 2.] Wrap it around the hook that's stuck in you.[not any other hooks] 3.] Press down with one hand where the hook is stuck in your skin. 4.] Pull hard, with 1 quick ''pop'' straight out with the hook. DO NOT PULL UP, or DOWN. Straight out in the opposite direction the hooks facing. Mine did not hurt at all. Im not saying yours won't. But a little pain to keep fishing is nothing right? ps: make sure of when you had your last shot.

when I say full I mean full as in the max the go when they are set on auto. That doesn't mean they are 100% full sry.. lol...

I was using my 18 ft procraft with a 125hp mariner motor. I had 22gals of fuel in the back with 2 full livewells[small fish in one, bigger in the other]. so the back of the boat was pretty heavy. the front of my boat was forward towards shore. the recoil of the first boat lifted the front up while the wake of the 2nd came over the back. ;p just bad spot and timing I guess

2 things 2 say here. 1st. Im glad I don't live in japan, it sounds like there are to many laws. lol... 2nd. Fishing is like baseball. In baseball the hands are an extension of the bat. We just had a big incident here with the pole and line being an extension of the boat. So if you can't have your boat or fish in a restricted area then you can't cast into the restricted area.

Well, Yesterday was a fantastic day to fish the Ohio River. The tournament started at 6am and ran till 2pm. The day started off horrible with my partner having the flu and not able to go. So I decided to go alone. I had my limit of 5 in the boat by 8:15am so now I was off to find the bigger fish. I head down river to some barges In 20ft of water and fish them pulling in 2 larger smallies [2-3lbs]. I cast back out when a ski boat come flying by throwing of an enormous wake. I hook into a nice 4lb smallie n hoist him into the boat while battling the wake. another ski boat passes and the fish came off the hook by himself. I grabed him, opened the livewell, when a wake hits the boat BAM! I got knocked over, the fish flopped back in the water... The wake comes over the back of the boat, and floods the open livewell and needless to say another one of my bigger smallies took advantage and flopped back into the river. I was stuck with 4 fish the rest of the day. I got 4th with 6lbs 9ozs. 7lbs 4oz took first. Needless 2 say I should of had yet another tournament win 2 add to an amazing season.

With warm water temperatures and sunny days Barges offer a lot of good fishing here on the ohio river. I catch quite a few decent fish under/around barges and the big round barge sails they tie off on.. My question; How would u fish barges and the sails sitting anywhere from 10-20ft of water? River has smallies, lgm, n spots in it.. :

Here is my short, sweet and 100% honest opinion that I will always follow. If my life is in danger, if I feel my life is in danger, or if my family or anyone I know is in danger. I will shoot, Stab, Punch, Kick, beat with a stick or use any means of protection possible. Now... if gators are high in population its fine by me to hunt. Gators taste like chicken. There's no difference between gator hunting and deer hunting. Without hunting population will grow and food will become scarce causing more and more human attacks. Now let me ask all you gator lovers a question. How would you feel if you, your wife, or kids were attacked by a gator?

Fish Creek holds some nice fish. From, LM 2 spots, n smallies. Early this year the river was ruff n we went up in there and limited out on smallies and Lm and took 2nd with the biggest weighing in at 3.14 with a few others in the 2.9 range. Nice fish, keep it up!
