  5. i don't see how its possible to fall for this, because just from reading it, i'm confused as hell? how could i possibly fall for this, the person is talking to me like i know what is going on, like i know who this person is, and like we had some existing transaction. the only thing that is clear from that email is that this person really wants you to send them $270.00 Us dollars. :
  6. better than worm farmin'?
  7. ^ i'm gonna take a random guess and say "likes country music"?
  8. with wild fish, especially centrachrids (sunfish), its best to start them off with live foods. they will readily eat live foods, and doing this gets them used to you being the food source. my sunfish wouldn't eat until i started offering small little earthworms. they gobble them up. after a couple months of being in the tank, they started to eat flakes off the surface that i give to my cyprinids. once your sunfish are used to you bringing them food, they will take pretty much anything. i can put bare tweezers in my tank and my sunfish will come up to them to see if there is any food on them. this is what my sunfish's diet consists of: earthworms (main staple, i can get hundreds off my driveway after a good rain, i keep them in a glad container in the fridge), mealworms (get 50, 100, 500 packs at pet stores), crickets (pet stores), random macroinvertebrates i catch from the creek, frozen tuna, freeze dried bloodworms (pet stores), goldfish flakes (pet stores). i have found these little sealed cans of preserved mealworms near the clearance section of Petco, they're in one of those tall cardboard "drop-down" dispensers. they advertise them as bluebird food, but my sunfish love them. i caught them on sale for $1 a can (i think they're usually like 3 something) and i got about 5 cans of them. sunfish eat pretty much anything. i know a lot of people feed them frozen (not freeze dried) blood worms that you buy at pet stores. i haven't trid them though. PM me if you wanna talk about keeping them in an aquarium, i should be able to help you out you guys are never gonna let me live this one down are ya? ;D

not sure what you guys are referencing? it must be funny though... gman, pictures of what?
  10. jimmieO, i have two tanks, one 55 gallon and one 5 gallon, in my 5 gallon i have tadpoles and golden shiners, and in my 55 gallon i have a bunch of fish, but i plan on making it a sunfish tank once i get 1 more pumpkinseed and 1 more bluegill. i don't know what you mean by my "many species of bass"? MyKeyBe, that sucks! pumpkinseeds are cool. i wish i could find them in feeder tanks. i never find cool stuff in feeder tanks like other people have. then again, i wouldn't want fish from a feeder tank for the exact problem you ran into to, poor health. plus i think its neat that i personally caught every single one of my fish.

i just made a little shad swimbait and it doesn't run too well, but i think i might be able to add a little more ballast and get it running right. bait making is just slow over here man. i'm running out of ideas. i'm also running out of time. i got school and homework on the weekdays and i try to go fishing or go to the creek when i can on the weekends. bait making will continue when the summer comes, i promise
  12. i FINALLY caught another pumpkinseed for my tank. Now i just need one more pumpkinseed and one more bluegill, and my sunfish tank will be complete!
  13. haven't really "fished" it, but i set traps down there and catch golden shiners, mudminnows, black nose dace, and pumpkinseeds. when the weather warms up i'm gonna go down there with an ultralight and try to catch some larger pumpkinseeds.

  16. this new program is awesome! so far i've only used it to make one panorama, but it turned out amazing, and super easy, took no work on my part, i just had to select the pictures to use in the panorama, and click the make panorama. it did the rest. and it did it VERY well. i can't even tell any breaks between the pictures. i went down to the creek to set a trap, wearing my regular hiking boots which i wear down there when i don't plan on wading around in the water. well i got to the place where i just hop over a stream to continue on my way to the marsh, but i was stopped to the sight of an extremely flooded stream. i thought it was just flooded because of the rain we've had, so i went all the way back to my house to get waders. i come back to the stream with waders and go in the water, and as soon as i clear the brier bush, i see that its not flooded at all, the beavers have been busy stopping the creek up! they made a nice little pond right there. i was standing waist deep in water in several places. so i continued down to the marsh, set my trap, and then went back to play in the new pond. i walked all over it to find out what the bottom was like all over it, and then i was standing in a corner of it and the odd thought came into my head to make a panorama of it. so i took 8 photos, spanning a little over 180°, and came home to download windows live photo gallery so i could make a panorama out of them. after a few hours worth of distractions, i got the program, and i was suprised just how easy it was. i literally just had to select the pictures, and click "make a panoramic picture". it turned out nice. when i go back to get my trap tomorrow, i'm going to take a bunch more panoramic photos, i'm going to try some 360° ones and see how they turn out. here is the link to the panorama i uploaded on photobucket. photobucket resized it and it looks a LOT better fullsize, but its too big of a file to attach to this post. http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f120/davidsaavedra/Creek/NewBeaverPondStitch.jpg
  17. ^ got the philosophy quote backwards
  18. oh, and everybody at the lunch table was CONFIDENT they could do it, and out of 5 people, everybody failed. one kid was breaking the crackers with his hand as he was eating them, and when the minute was up, he had just half a cracker left to eat. i'm not sure if this is against the rules or what.
  19. the beer bottle thing only works for non-carbonated liquids. i saw it first on Time Warp too and they said that it wasn't the force of the air that caused the bottom to pop out, it was the fact that the pressure difference caused the water to lift up and then the vacuum below the water sucked it back and it busted the glass. then they tried it with beer and the air space that formed under the beer just got filled up with fizz and the trick didn't work. so after watching that i immediately went out and tried about 6 bottles worth of this trick. i could never get them to pop on the first blow, always on the second.
  20. its much harder when your friends are around you making you laugh! i think i'm gonna make some money off this at lunch tomorrow ;D
  21. i just saw this on a Lamb of God DVD, and i tried it for myself, and its pretty freakin impossible. i challenge anyone on here to eat 6 saltine crackers in a minute or less WITHOUT anything to drink.
  22. that guy is hilarious. i haven't seen any of his stand up, but i watch his "important things" show every wednesday.
  23. LMAO! ENCOURAGING PEDOPHILES!!!!! that's really funny! i've never seen a Watch Children sign, all the ones around here either say "Slow Children at Play" or "Watch for Children"
  24. i don't get it, are you putting it on your face or drinking it? apple cider vinegar tastes awesome, i don't know why people think vinegar is gross ;D
