  1. my favorite is by far rapala. bandit comes in second, and bomber in close third.
  2. yeah ive done some research, and on www.rapalaworld.com , they show this color as "muddler" instead of "goby" which is weird because they are definitley the same color, and mine said "goby" on the box. and on that website, it shows alot of lures with this "muddler" pattern and other funky colors i've never seen rapala use, and today was the first time ive ever seen one in this pattern. so the whole thing is pretty confusing. i wish i new what the deal was lol. but on the website they show that the jointed minnow and the xrap come in "muddler" and i am definitley going to try and find a J13 in muddler to use as a big wake bait and an xrap in muddler.
  3. why do deer always have their toungues hanging out when they die? every single dead deer i've seen has its toungue hanging out. lol.
  4. well the other day i got the idea that i wanted a small, slender baby bass colored jerkbait. i thought it would be good for fishing shallow water in the early summer when all the little bass are swimmin about. well look what a quick trip to dicks sporting goods produced! a rapala husky jerk HJ10. it is the perfect lure. suits every requirement i had for my baby bass jerkbait. perfect shape, perfect size, perfect color, and its translucent. i was lookin at rapalas baby bass pattern, and it was opaque (didnt like that) and it was too "detailed" for what i wanted. so i got this color which is called "goby" but i think it is a perfect match for the baby bass that swim in the shallows that i fish. just liked this lure so much i had to make a post about it lol ;D
  5. sweet bait dude!!!! cant say the same for the fish j/k ;D
  6. havent used either, but i can tell you the lucky craft will be much better made. i have heard good things about the lucky craft and i have heard good and not so good things about the strike king. sorry i dont have any info on either. as far as colors go, i like shad colors, and since youre in MI maybe a perch color would work if they had it?
  7. that is BY FAR the nicest spot ive ever seen ;D
  8. nice fish bro. keep it up. lets see some double digits!!!
  9. omg what a grea first catch!!!! keep it up dude!
  10. i have been following up on the brand loyalty thread and decided it would be neat (maybe helpful) to have a thread about brand boycotts. lol. so, what are some brands that you wont even touch? for me it is: gycb/kinami-over price and not durable enough...not worth it. eagle calw-dull, poor quality hooks. shakespeare-i've used their rods, reels, and line, and the rods sucked, reels broke, and line was terrible. and thats all that comes to mind...
  11. lol really? i havent even seen that thread. i dont go in the everything else section often.
  12. Why doesnt handle style 7 have a reel seat on it? http://stcroixrods.com/rods/default2.asp?rodname=36&section=spin
  13. yeah dude they are super productive too. people catch bluefish and rockfish all the time on storm wild eye swim shads. cheap and effective. they are probably the most popular bait in the chesapeake bay area.
  14. strangest thing ive caught a fish on would probably be a loogie that i spit on the hook. lol....bluegills eat anything. ;D
  15. OMG! 62°? how can you bear it??? try 19° on for size > lol im only kiddin w/ ya! nice job gettin a few. did you catch all of those on that huddlebug?
  16. lol i still get pretty p*ssed when i lose them lol!!! ;D but i dont lose them too often so thats good.
  17. the only way to tell for sure is just to try and catch whatevers down there!!!!
  18. i like alot of brands, but there is only one that i think im loyal to. that is Rapala. never have i had a bad lure from them. each one has been a great work of art and will catch many fish. very durable, very nice finishes, very nice color patterns. they are just about the best lure 7 bucks will get you!!!! they are truly worth the cost and more. great baits at a great price. good thread
  19. i definitley showed all of BR that vid
  20. ok thats understandable. did you get a weight on that big fish?
  21. thats a boat load of jerky!!! it'd have to be dinosaur jerky or something for me to pay that much lol!!!!! you made out well my friend. do you have a grand total on that stuff? i was thinkin of getting some r2s jigs, i wanted the junk grenades, but i decided not to go with them.
  22. this video is soo funny. those guys are wild. the ending is my favorite part: "yeah! i hooked myself! hooked myself in the crotch!"
