  1. thats a good idea. i think i'll do that. and maybe soak some cotten balls in scent and cram then in the tube too so it will hold more scent and disperse it instead of have it leak out.
  2. ok. well when i tried that they are so slippery and skinny and they thrash around so much that they just slide right thru my grip.
  3. wow. i'll go ahead and be the first to say a 4" *** *** in smoke blue pepper. this is my most versatile bait. i can dead stick, crawl, jig, walk the dog, wacky rig, and shakey head this bait. it pretty much does everything and it outright catches fish.
  4. i dont have one of those boag style lip grips, but i was thinking about holding it with a pair of vise grips set so that they dont close all the way, but almost, that way if the fish is thrashing and i squeeze the pliers hard, they wont close any further, and wont hurt the fish. but what is a safe way for me to hold those slimy fiesty fish?
  5. are you kidding? theyre coming out with another album!?!?! well i like all of their albums with the exception of st. anger. when they said it would be like their 80's stuff i guess they left out the "h" in thrash....its trash.
  6. after i told him that 8 bucks wasnt gonna cut it, he said "oh its ok thats not the one i was looking for anyway, i wanted the one that walks the dog". pfffff : what a faker.
  7. yeah same thing happened to Black Sabbath. their albums black sabbath, paranoid, master of reality, and volume 4 were all killer great. but you could tell they were changing their ways in volume4 because they started to use a synthesizer more and more. and then they came out with sabbath bloody sabbath. that album was pretty good, alot of the songs on it are way too techno for me (ie. "who are you") and after sabbath bloody sabbath, forget about it...that bad had WAY sold out....and then iommi had to kick out ozzy and that band just sucked afterward. its sad.... :-[
  8. None of the live series has joints between the sections. sure they do...well maybe "joints" isnt the right word, but the spaces inbetween each section where that double steel wire runs thru. anyway i heard lots of bad reviews about the wire snapping.
  9. what is the best way to rig these for flipping into heavy cover?
  10. what i like most about post black album metallica is that it has a big variety in tone. its not all the same amount of distortion, tempo, and the same power chords played blisteringly fast. some of the pre black album songs you can barely tell apart they are all so similar. post black album songs are all very distinguishable...some have a more blusy sound to them, some are slow and heavy metal, and other are acoustic. i think what i like most is the variety that they demonstarte in post black album songs.
  11. i remember he wanted to buy a luck craft live pointer from me but he said he barely had $8.....what a joke. glad he's gone.
  12. thats sad. i'd expect more from lucky craft. i also heard that the live series (live pointer, live sammy, etc..) broke very easily due to poor joint sections.
  13. lol....that is sad but true :-[
  14. i like doing artowk of fish. dont like artwork not of fish lol. i also hate color, just ask my art teacher : heres a bass that i was woodburning and for some reason just stopped. it has remained the way it is in the picture for over a month now...i should probably finish that. here are a few pics of a drawing i did a while back (i made the head on the bass just a little bit too small and the tail is goofy :-?)
  15. oh man i was dyin the first time i saw this!!!! (the batman one in related videos is good too!)
  16. i have a pflueger trion UL spinning reel and rod. its pretty nice. the reel was great till i dropped it when i was walking home from fishing on a hilly dirt path thru the woods, and i fell on my face going up a hill ;D bent the bail to hell and it took a few hours of elbow grease to locate the problems and fix them (whole bunch of dirt got inside and messed stuff up). but now that i fixed it its good as new except the bail is kinda sticky to close sometimes.
  17. metallica is the greatest. pre black album they were heavy thrashing metal, which is cool and all, i like it alot, but black album and later they really added a whole lot of variety into their music which i really like. i love all metallica, but i think i like post black album. (with exception to "and justice for all", that was one hella great album. probably my fav. post black album would be reload.) but dont get me wrong, pre black album still kicks ***!!!!!
  18. ima go ahead and be the nonconformist rebel and say RIVERSIDE BIG WAG. these worms were the best. it really sucks that they are no longer in production. as far as worms that are still available, i really like the 10" culprits in tequilla shad : lol. 7" berkley power worms in bluefleck are very nice also.
  19. peacocks are purrrrrdy.... looks like a good fighter too. congrats.
  20. many reasons why to do it. it prevents loops and line twist when you put your hand infront of the reel to close the bail, you can "feather" the off coming line to get more accurate casts. it puts less stress on the reel and your hand; closing the bail with the crank is pretty hard sometimes and wears down the little hump on the inside of the spool that closes the bail.
  21. from what i've gathered, it only goes just a few inches under the surface. is this tru? or will it sink to 12' and walk the dog at 12'? if it only goes a few inches under the surface (like in the rapala vid) then i dont think its worth it, a regular skitter walk or other walking bait would be just as effective, however if it will operate at whatever depth you want, then it might be worth looking into
  22. it is exactly the same way with me man! lots of ppl look down on 3lbers, i love em. they are above average for the places i fish......well at least out of the fish i catch. :
  23. my rabbit jigs are the best....duh : ;D. just ask Tin for a testimonial but in terms of store bought jigs, my #1 would def. be a terminator pro's top secret jig. that jig in junebug is just plain bad*ss.
  24. how many fish do you have to catch to consider it a "good day". now i know most of you will think that its a good day even if you dont catch any or just one, but lets not be so humble. how many do you have to catch to consider it a good day that you can brag to your buddies about? for me a good day is usually 7 or 8 bass. i dont catch much. this is usually how many usually catch whenever i go out anyway. so how many do you guys usually catch and how many make it a good day?
