  1. wait, when you say take it to your local dealer, does that mean the place you bought it? or could u buy it anywhere, and just take it to a place that sells them?
  2. You return it to Shimano and get a new rod. ok but do i have to pay for a replacement fee then?
  3. ohhhh ok. well thats fine with me cuz i have an ugly stick w/ my spinning reel and we all know how flexible those are! that can make a nice crankbait rod. and raul, what are you sorry for? lol!
  4. i was fishing a inline spinner up along the shore line. i was done w/ the cast so i burned it in the last 5 feet or so. then as i was lifting it out of the water it was about an inch or two above the water when a bluegill came out from nowhere and smacked it. that scared the pee outta me!!! literally all i had to do was lift the rod up and over into the boat...and i did that just outta reaction!!!!! i ate him for lunch
  5. ive never fished creature baits and i dont know how big a brush hog is, but i think t-rig wins this one...lol...thast a huge bait there!!!!!!
  6. oh ok....well by the sounds of it i think a over the counter lifetime warranty would be better! but what happens if you order it online?
  7. anything except cranking? hows come?
  8. Is extra fast action too overpowering??? now i know this probly has a lot of variables to it. but i will generaly be fishing plastics, maybe jigs, and crankbaits. i also fish in all ranges of weedy ness.
  9. OK Thanks!!!! what do you mean by "over the counter" warranty??? the convergence has a lifetime warranty...thats pretty cool.
  10. LOL!!!! here we go again. how about this one? http://www.***.com/descpageRDCSHIMANO-SHCLCR.html looks nice and all, but what do all of those tapers and stuff mean? never seen those before. anyone have any experience with this rod?

HAHAHAHAHA im so gald that someone else notices this too!!!! thast one thing that really bugs me about the way pros fish. also, (bill dance does this so much) they will just have the fish right at the boat (or shore) and just let it sit there splashing around and stuff, and act like its actually fighting, when they have the control over it. and they'll lift it out of the water and say something like "oh did you see that jump?" thats just stuff that bugs me : anyway, nice post chris! some handy tips there. i really like shallow cranks in farm ponds.
  12. every time i see it in the stores its "reel magic"...... :-/
  13. ok thats fine, i think im gonna get a shimano convergence anyways.
  14. COOL! so far im really liken this rod. im gonna go check the shimano website to look for any changes like you said. im gonna have to check around stores for it and if i cant find it there then i guess i'll have to buy it from cabelas. it sucks that you have to add an additional $6 for shipping it though
  15. i think you meant to say all the ones they have are fast action. fast means when flexed only the tip bends, slow means nearly the whole blank bends. all the ones i've seen have fast actions. thats a good thing on that warranty. maybe this will be the new rod that i get. they are a very reasonable price....is that a bad thing :-?
  16. hey guys! anyone know anything about this rod? how is it? anyone used it? hows that lifetime warranty? any info appreciated.
  17. yeah i meant to say fast. i dont think it has xfast as an option. anyway, thanks for the info. anyone else ever used one?
  18. hi guys. i saw one of these rods at gander mtn the other day. i was really close to buying it. it was 7ft. mh extra fast tip. it was 30 dollars i think. because of the price....i was kinda unsure. so whats the scoop on this rod? anyone know? is it any good?
  19. yeah these lures dont put up hardly any resistance in the water. its just like a normal shallow diving crank. ive never had the line dig in on any of my lures. so far all ive tried is the 4" gizzard shad one, and i liked that. the 6" would be nice, but i didnt buy it cuz i didnt have a rod for it.
  20. oh and for the hook, its got a double hook on the back rigged so the points are up. supposed to make it weedless.
  21. yeah heres a link http://www.lurenet.com/productdetail.aspx?id=5115 ive got it in the green bullfrog.
  22. my buddy paul saw a bat hit the water and start flopping around then got engulfed by a huge bass. so then he went searching for "bat lures" and his best result was a double bladed black buzzbait. he tried that a few nights later and shur nuff he landed himself an 8lb bass. now that just goes to show that bass will attack a bat.....as for my opinion...this lure is a piece of cow dookey. LOL! seriously...for one, it wouldnt float, for two, it'd have no action, and for three, it'd fall apart!!!!!!!!! lol what a joke.
  23. why is that??? what do you mean by when the braid "digs in on itself"? do you mean in the knot or on the spool? in either case, how would that affect the lure? i didnt notice any problems.
  24. JUNEBUG
  25. i bought one of these today. this is one sweet lookin little bait!!! extremely clever design. anyone have any luck with them?
