Best Time to Use Baitcaster vs. Spinning
i use my caster for spinners, jigs and crank baits. (heavy stuff) then i use my spinning for soft plastics, topwater, and light crankbaits.

BIG BAIT, BIG FISH
i believe it is true. think about the energy a bass uses to strike a fish. now why would a big bass use that energy to catch something small thats not going to fill him up when he can use the same amount of energy to catch a bigger fish that will fill him up. i also remember hearing that many bass records were caught by people not even fishing for bass but larger fish like pike and musky. (they use big musky baits)

Lure Color Rule - Only For Freshwater?
i read something about fishing at night. says fish in lighter areas and use dark baits. this is because the fish will the a dark bait that it contrasted against the lighted area. kinda makes a silhouette and makes a small bait appear larger

casting vs spinning q's
i just added a casting rod to my equip this year and id say the major difference is the casting is a ton more accurate. also it works better for heavier baits
