nothing on a catfish can hurt you that bad..the way i do it is just get a pair of gloves and grad the catfish right behind the 2 side fins at the back of its head ive done this with cats up to 10 pounds

Ive had pretty good smallie fishing latley using just a black and silver jerkbait made by rapala..is there any other jerkbait out there I should give a try and any color you find to be working would be greatly appriciated!

speaking of catfish rigs for smallies i was catfishing last night using a 1 oz. triangle weight with realllllly nasty bait shrimp and caught myself a 3 pound smallie. Is this odd?

haha man sometimes you just gotta go back to the basics try catching a small sunfish and rig it up with a big bobber it might look silly but i always catch big ones like that ...its a good way to end a dry spell of not catching any big ones. if the pond has a good grass like cast it about 5 feet about and just wait for big momma to ambush the little sunfish

Hey man if the pond has alot of sunfish in trying catching about a 3 to 4 incher and hooking it up and cast about 10 feet about or just past any grass line you can find adding a big bobber to that is always exciting too haha
