well not everybody has a friend with a $200 scale! anybody have any suggestions for ones under 100 bucks?

just wondering what everyone uses when ti comes to a gripper/scale. I am about to order the XTOOLS® Grip-N-Weigh® Digital Fish Scale, any opinions? Anybody like the Rapala one? WHAT DOES EVERYBODY USE? i dont wanna damage fish, and i want an accurate reading. I usually catch fish from 1lb to 4lbs, nothing too large. THANKS Hope everyone is having a good summer so far!

weightless senko, flys right through most anything

its a shame becausae it seems liek the flash brought out the sunfish qualities which makes sence, but before the pic this thing was all grey with thick lines also wasnt circlular like a sunfish, was longer and almost square wih the belly

i dont think its a regular sunfish, iv been fishing for a while, and the jaw just didnt seem the same. it was bigger than most sunfish that size thanks for the comments, keep em coming

Here is a beautiful 3lb even bass from marsh creek in Pa. Caught at 12:30am on a 4" senko, baby bass color This is my best fish on my boat so far (got boat about 2 weeks ago)

My guess is its a crappie/sun fish hybrid, but im not sure. this thing had a belly!

HEY GUYS Just bought a pretty cool 14' jon boat. what makes it cool is the oriignal owner built it up, through a nice deck on it, seats, the whole bit. But im a nervouse wreck cuz im out of my confort zone here, took it out for the first time yesterday. didnt get much fishing done but got used to the boat. what do you guys think? paid just under 2gs for boat, trolling motor, and trailor......actually, dont tell me cuz boats are more expensive in philly than they are where most fo you guys live.. HEre are my questions: (1) BATTERY LIFE it takes two 12 volts, 1 for aux, and 1 for the motor. I bought one 24size for the aux, and one 27size for the motor. About how long will this thing last, is it gonna run out so fast i need a charger right away? (2) 35 LB THRUST IN THE RIVER? do you guys think it would be safe to take this out on the river on a calm day or does it not have enough power. If i didnt ask this question, i would assume NO Thanks,

So far I fish the schuykill river, Marsh Creek, French Creek... Im a shore fisherman so it needs to be able to be fished from the bank... goin on a memorial day trip with a friend and were trying to find a new spot....

Thread started did the right thing 100% always try and talk to these people before turning them in.... many diont even know their braking the law... take it easy, start a conversation before you rat them out....if you dont get through, THEN look to a park ranger... WE NEED TO LET THE WORLD KNOW THAT PEOPLE CAN STILL TALK AMONGST THEMSELVES.... PEOPLE THAT JUST GO AROUND WITH THE COPS ON SPEEDDIAL ARE DAMAGING OUR SOCIETY IN THE LONG RUN ALWAYS GIVE EM A CHANCE FIRST....THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH EVERYTHING NOW ADAYS....PEOPLE CALL THE POLICE BEFORE THEY TRY AND WORK IT OUT! trying to get a trip going in an hour or so, just wondering if anyone has ever been to either of these 2 places. Wondering whioch is better for shore fishing.... anybody in philly reading?

(2) whenever I watch city limits I always get annoyed when they have the interview parts.... "Bass fishing, around here?" They say with their stupid grin, like nobody in philadlephia has ever heard of bass fishing. Seems almost scripted..... untill I started listening to the comments that I get while fishing the schuykill.....They are just as bad "what do you catch, dead bodies?" "Their arent any fish in their, is their?" "when was the last time you ACTUALLY caught a fish, ever?" Thats when i realized that maybe Ike's show isnt exageratting..... anybody else get these corny comments when "urban fishing"

Also, something about missing a HUGE fish when your by yourself that keeps me in the game. It is a very strong feeling to say the least.

I would love fishing buddys...but their hard to find..... i always meet clients that say were gonna start fishing but it never happens... my girldfriend is a fisher, but also a woman, so that is good and bad depending on the day, and the amount of bugs... I would say their is no better thing to do by yourself than fishing. It is a strange feeling because when your out their fishing, you feel EVERYTHING BUT ALONE.....

put the smell aside, and im still not happy with the stiff gulp worm...its just too stiff..... as for the zoom finesse. I used it the last few days with pretty descent success. Got a nice couple pound fish that was full of eggs! first time for me since i started fishing again....i felt bad for the girl, she seemed like she REALLY didnt want to come in but try the zoom, they work great....nice and flimsy, and they dont float, but you can make it work by using a flat bottom head instead of the rounder shaped shakey head..... --------------------------------------------------------------- THE PERFECT LOW-BUDGET SHAKEY WORM SETUP: Chompers stand up jig- $4.50 for 8 jigs Zoom Finesse worm- $3.80 for 20 worms

HELP A BROTHER OUT i have fished fat ikas about 10 times since the start of the season with no luck here are my questions: -Is the fat ika not good weightless in a river with current? does it need wieght? - Do you bounce it off the bottom? how do you fish it in the river ALSO have you ever tryed nose-hooking the fat ika with a Circle hook 3/0 etc?

What about5 the ZOOM finesse. someone said they use it, but it doesnt float? i just bought some, and gonna try them out...... is it a rule they need to float or no?

The first few outtings of this season I have been working mostly on learning shakey head worm fishing..... So far, i have about 4-5 fish on this technique, and they were all caught on slow days where it seems liek that was the only thing they would hit.... NOW IM GONNA TALK A LITTLE SMACK The GULP shakey worm i thought was terrible. The worm is hard and stiff. It stands up occasionally, but nothing like ROBOWORM's Zipper shakey head. The smell was the worst. I HATE THAT SMELL. It could catch fish all day long (which is doesnt) and i still wouldnt use it. It takes days to come off your hands. It did cast nice, but being as hard as a lead pipe, it better! My opinions, for a first time user....get some 3/16 shakey head jigs and the roboworm zipper shakey head worm THIS TECHNIQUE IS GREAT, JUST MAKE SURE YOU GET A GOOD WORM! GOOD LUCK!
