Wayne, does your Hotmaps Premium card load a lot slower than the backgroudn map? Mine is doing that, incredibly slow & painstaking! On map page when I move the cursor in a direction and loading takes forever to load unlike background map does instantly. I have thought about deleting (other state) lakes that I won't be fishing at all would be the solution, quicker loading???

I have a 7' Medium with moderate action composite rod. I use it mainly for cranking but was wondering if this rod is also good for topwater like a walk the dog type of bait like spook and sammy? Or should I go with a slow action instead of moderate and not composite rod for topwater action? Thanks

Well here is the update. After I got the refund, I found the right card on eBay & bought the 07 version. After I won it the seller sent me a msg stating that they don't have the 07 in stock instead they shipped the latest version, 08 at no additional charge. 98 bucks shipped

I'm guessing whenever this member writes back whatever the name of site will not be seen either. I mean whatever happen to "Privacy"??? I just don't consider "PM" as a private message at all. Well, what were you expecting ? there 's tons of stuff to upgrade Shimanos and Daiwas ....... I wonder why there aren 't many to upgrade Quantums. Ah, I suppose there is something wrong with other brands but Quantum ;D No need to upgrade Quantum, obviously :-X I'm joking.

Well, my main purpose of this thread is, how do I know what size to choose? Forget the question if you upgrade your reel lol.

Do any of you upgrade a better quality bearing in your reel? I have 2 of Quantum Energy E750PT for deep cranking. Not that its anything wrong with the original bearing but have thought about upgrading it to something like a ceramic bearing so it will last longer and get better feel and longer cast distance. The problem is, there are many different size of bearing that I don't know which size will fit in those reels. Guys, please tell me I'll be OK. I use iFinder H20 and didn't have a hotmaps so this evening I went ahead and purchased the hotmap premium 07 east region. Most places are out of stock or discontiuned. I googled only found 4 different places that has them, all in CF card. I placed order. When I got the confirmation I realized it is CF not SD card. I'm not familiar with CF and SD stuff. Is there any difference? Please tell me if the CF card will work for my iFinder?! If not, I suppose I need to call them to cancel it. Dammit.

Steve -Big O? I have seen your pictures of your catches at Falcon with Anaconda. What brand and size did you used there?

I don't know. I get 3 different answers. 5/0, 6/0 and 7/0 : And I'm not a fan of offset hooks. I prefer a wide gap.

What brand (my favorite is Gamakatsu) and size hook do you guys use for 10" Anaconda? A keel or a slip weight? Thanks.

I don't own a Falcon rods. I was thinking about picking up one of their deep cranking rods especially for the DD22. I own a couple of other brands like Quantum PT but the DD22 wore me out if cranking all day long with it. The rods I'm looking at: LFC-4-176 Medium Gulf Caster (7'6" Medium) OR LFC-4-18 Outtasight (8' MH) Anyone have used one of em or both? If so, which model is better for DD22?
