  1. If you like the rod because of his not original signature on it then power to ya. His name on it does not mean he has it in his boat because he doesn't. It all marketing to catch fishermen...just like his signature series reel. Never see him use either. All I've seen him use is Energy and Tour Edition. Edit: now I'm not sure which one he refer to, rod or reel.
  2. I took a look at the combo he was talking about. There is no medium heavy rod for those combo. Only Medium to Ultra Light. Just so you know. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_95707_100003002_100000000_100003000_100-3-2?ordProd=Y&CMID=TOP_selectitems#itemDetail
  3. Calling your parents a roomate. IMO, not nice. They raised you so you should be thankful. Again, IMO. Life is expensive alright.
  4. Whatever works for you then by all means keep doing what you believe in. Thanks Muddy (and Catt that educated you), I'll try the uphill next time. The more I think about it the bass don't see that very often but downhill.
  5. I'm speechless but yeah mh will do.
  6. Got some but haven't try them yet. Doesn't matter if they float at rest or not when I retrieve like a crankbait.
  7. Aw I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. :'(
  8. I'll tell you the companies that make them. Quantum. :
  9. Yes! You stated it better than I could. That's exactly what I've been trying tell people on this forum but they just don't get it. Just obsessed with stickers on their reels.
  10. Would that not spook the fish if they are up on top (under the boat) I guess it depends on depth and water clarity.
  11. Do I really believe my 3 yrs old daughter can give all the correct answer to each question? Yes.
  12. DF10HC they do except DF10CC and DF10SC dual pawl anti-reverse.
  13. Got it. Thanks! PS, well there was a post by RW then decided to delete it for unknown reason. The instruction you posted is the reason I thanked you. Oh well.
  14. Got it figured out. Push the pin up and down. OK so if they're all pushed upward toward outside ring that would be OFF am I correct? Never mind I'm gonna do the same setting as my old green Curado.
  15. How do I set them to ON position? It does not mention in the manual on how to but they are in the OFF position and if I want maximum free spooling then removed the brakes completely. "Start with all 6 brakes in the "on" position when first using the reel. Then lock them in two at a time (making sure to lock brakes that are on opposite sides to maintain proper balance) until maximum casting distance with minimal effort is achieved." Duh I already know that but HOW do I set them to "on"???
  16. Got two of them in today. Nice reel! I'm OK with no anti-reverse though. Oh by the way, both came with schematic
  17. He already answered and I don't blame the guy. Been there myself.
  18. Have seen clear coated under the guides where the wrap is- cracked or chipped. Not sure if it was affected from the cold weather.
  19. See what I mean. Now I don't blame you a bit Muddy. I was trying to help the guy out instead of convincing him to get what brand I prefer. Offer what we think is good for him instead of think of their own self.
  20. Same here. Sammy is the only expensive lure I have in my tackle not to get snagged. Anything else that dives I buy them cheaper.
  21. Other one to look at http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_90674_100001001_100000000_100001000_100-1-1 32 review posted, 4.8 of 5 stars. Retail at 99.99 but on sale for 69.99. It also has 6.3:1 gear ratio.
