I have read that even the day of the week you check online is important. For instance Tuesday and Wednesday are usually cheaper than other days.

I have to disagree. 20% down especially for first time home buyers is extremely difficult and even rare in some areas. The average sales price in my market is $450,000. 20% down is $90,000 plus closing costs in some situations. That is very tough for some buyers.

I use a marker and write the range as well. i have found that the numbers last longer when written on the underside of the body near the bill.
