  2. That sounds sweet Steve, good luck with the stratos man, and if you run out of room in your driveway for two boats, theres always mine man
  3. yeah newangler and myself went out for a few hours today and the bite was deffinitely on
  4. Yeah lets plan a trip for Monday then, gives the water a little time to clear, but I'm free throughout the week and am usually out fishing. We can launch your boat from a place I know of in the creek if you want man
  5. Im down for fishing anytime you want to go man, today New Angler and myself went to one of my spots from shore, we cuaght around 7 fish in 4 hours or so

  7. Hell yeah man, nothing like killing it on a warm october day! All in all an awesome day, would of been better of those frog fish didnt get off!
  8. private you say....hmm I gotta check into this thanks mudkart
  9. Saw it on the map and it looked really good, did some research and people say its very god for bass, crappie, catfish & pickerel. One post i found a guy said he has 4 citation bass from it. Its not the biggest lake which I think is good and best part is it public. So if anyone has any experience with this lake please share as I am very curious and would like to try it out asap
  10. Well I've been having a blast lately catching schoolie striper between 14-20' on poppers and lipless cranks and I want to devote a few hours to doing that. You will also catch LM & the occasional SM here too. Its a shore spot so if anyone wants to meet up with me let me know, if we dont do too great we can take the boat outif you dont mind a job boat, I only have room for two.
  11. Why not go target the schoolie striper for a bite fix, they greedily attack topwater lures this time of year
  12. my fist spinnerbait fish came on a 1/8 double blade that I colored a mix of purple & reds on a slow retrieve at about 2' in about 3' of water, second was on a 1/2 screaming eagle in watermelon color casted by some dying weeds and was taken right after impact. We had a couple more bites but missed them. As far as locations I'm not going to disclose exacts but in the Mount Vernon stretch of the river
  13. Dan, Slip Gun and myself went out today, water was still very murky from the rains and didnt have a chance to warm up much yet. But we were still able to put a few fish in the boat, slip gun caught a very beautifully bass with black dots all over it on a chatter bait out of the dying emergent growth in about 3' of water, I landed 2 bass on spinnerbaits and 2 stripers on a popper Things should be better by thursday once the sediments begin to settle and water warms up a bit. We'll try our luck again then.
  14. lol, David and I were just messaging about calling you and getting something together one of those days. LOL Lets do it man, Monday will be the break in this forsaken wet dreary weather. I think though by tuesday the waters should warm up some in the creeks and the bite should be back on. Lets plan for Tuesday the earlier the better
  15. lets fish this upcoming monday or tuesday Dan
  16. Mattawoman and little hunting creek are your best bets, also if you get on Ft. Belvoir you can slide your boat down into pohick bay down by the archery range and catch very decent sized bass down on the flats
  17. yes it was difficult fishing yesterday the bite just wasn't on, i was out on the dock for maybe 45 minutes before calling it a day, totaling only 3 fish all under 3# also, all caught on lipless cranks, the day before though was great at pomonkey they were greedily taking gold spinners along the edges at all speeds and depths and in the main channel(7-9'), slow retrieve near bottom. When is the next tournament?
  18. where on the potomac are you fishing? Recently we've been pulling out 15-20# 5 stringers in the weed edges in little hunting and pomonkey
  19. Where would you be "dropping" this boat in at as the potomac is a rather large body of water and depending on locality I might have some spots for you.
  20. Thai replied to Sam's topic in Southeast Bass Fishing
I'll be at the lake house this weekend with some friends, I'll see if I cant get some fishing in
  21. EatsomeKiwis lol, currently I've got a 16" Male midas in a 210
  22. yep the potomac is deff the best producing and easiest body of water to fish in nova
  23. From over 20 years of being in the aquarium hobby and maintaining MONSTER FISH - DOVII.. ARROWANAS (known glass bangers and jumpers) and having them jump out of the tank and onto the floor, and over 30 years of fishing and taking a quick picture and them being on the ground for less than 10 - 20 seconds, I've never lost one single fish or come back to the area and see one that I have potentially caught die. Now if there is something that have missed through out the years, could you please point me to that information so that I may read through it and possibly change the way that I handle them Sweet man you're not on monsterfishkeepers by any chance are you bro? lol Uhhmmmm....yes I am ;D Sweet man what are you keeping now?

  25. Yeah there are tons of goldfish/koi/carp hybrids in the river, people will intentionally release them and i've also seen ospreys carry fish off from backyard ponds and accidentally drop them in the river too
