  2. So I'm looking into getting a decent real and was wondering whats probably the best reel I could get for under $50. I want an overall good reel one that can fish a jig, spinner, etc. Also what pound test do you use most?
  3. Alrighty guys, So its that time of the year again when me and a couple buddys get out there and really try and tear it up. I need some opinions on 4 diff. baits. Sizes, colors, and manufacturer would be greatly appreciated. Baits That are a must have this season. I already have the senkos ready just need a few more baits to fish this year. I don't have a deep wallet so list accordingly Thanks fellas
  4. Thanks guys, really all I've been fishing is senko's and other jigs, but I want to try some cranks and spinners.
  5. Hey I know that its always good to jump from one bait to the next until you find out whats hitting best but how do you go from bait to bait? Just cutting the string and retying? I know I heard someone said that theres like clips out there now? Do these affect the lure?
  6. Ok, so just got done using the senko this morning. Got there about 6 a.m and the very first cast got a snag, not very happy as you can imagine. Once I redid my pole on about my third cast I was playing with it and by the time I could tell I had a bit the poor guy had swallowed the jig. Nice fish but couldnt get my hook or jig out w/o him dying:(. Then me and a few buddies went exploring cause after that fish noone was getting any hits. We found another huge pond and fished that, 4 fish only about 2 were anything were keeping, ended up catching 2 more fish that day. 7 fish caught only about 3 weighed over a pound. My first time with a senko was allright I did catch about triple of what I usually do there but they just werent very big, I used a 4" and I might get the 5" next time
  7. Thanks guys!

  11. Well I fish alot of ponds, so would t-rigged to best? How would you work the bait in the water?
  12. Well then what is wacky? And so thats just how u set the hook in the bait? Not how u actually fish it?
  13. What exactly is t-rigged and wacky rigged?
  14. Just went out and bought the Yamamoto 4'' Senko- Green Pumpkin/Black. Hard Nose 5'' Toad- Green Pumpkin. Havn't heard anything on this bait but looked and smelled good. Any of you fish with them? How do u hook them and how do you fish them? Also I bought Gamakatsu Offset Shank Worm EWG 2/0. Will this be the right type and size for the Senko's? And finally, how do you make O-Rings for the Senko? Where do you put it on the Senko and how do you place the hook through it? Thanks Guys

  17. What are your thought on them? I dont have the money, time, or vehicle big enough to pull a real one. Wouldnt paddling through the water scare the fish away? lol
  18. other help?
  19. Hey fella's, I was wondering if you spray anything on the senko's when fishing? If yes. What? Also what other baits do you spray. If yes. What? . Also I know its somewhere on these forums but you guys talk about all these different ways to fish this stuff, wacky, t-rigged, etc. Where to does it say what you actually do when fishing like that?
  20. ya me and my buddys were using like a gulp 7in worm, so rapalas seem to work good, i been reading alot on the senko good for pond fishing?
  21. U dont have to be rude to the kid, he's 11. When I was his age I thought I was a master bass catcher too. Bass Fisherman- Keep fishing, no age restrictions, you could just be a the next Michelle Wie of fishing!
  22. Me and a few buddies have really been fishing up at some old ponds alot. We dont necessarily "tear it up" but we'll catch maybe 2 bass each an hour. We only use jigs (plastic worms) though and I think after so long that the bass catch on a little. I was wondering what other type of jigs/lures would work good. And can you bass fish at night with much success?
  23. thats some pretty thick line for bass fishin
